@heleu: Thanks for the heads up. I'm hesitating a little bit about this one because of the price. I'm not too sure how much these wagons go for because there isn't too many on the market. A 2008 one with the facelift would actually be an ideal one, but I'm assuming it will be in the >10k.
i'm not trying to dissuade you from this one. i'm just saying find out what needs to be done and for how much, and then decide whether the asking price is still good or not based on that. like everyone else said it's not a common car so choices are few.

Had one after my Jetta GTX. Apart from the black BBS RA's, there wasn't much difference. But, that said, that's a pretty good deal for what looks to be a pretty damn mint MK2.

The passenger door has a rust spot/line.
Underneath the hood you can see the frame isn't perfectly straight...and some rust near the spot where it was hit

^ I saw that post as well. I would be interested if it was manual. The price is indeed pretty good for a GT if everything checks out, though it is an out of province vehicle.

Ugh I don't think there are too many more neutered examples of a platform than an automatic NA MK2 MR2.........

A USDM NA auto is the worst possible MR2 to have, since only North America had them with the 5SFE (economy motor) and everyone else at least got the 3SGE. Adding a huge sub in the trunk to make the car even more likely to take you backwards into a tree sounds brilliant as well.

Having personally owned a 94 MR2 with the NA motor and the automatic, it is pretty terrible. However, a 94 is pretty hard to find and often makes a good candidate for a swap...
