To each their own. I'd be fine with that if I didn't already have a project.

2010 Lexus RX450h Ultra Low Mileage, All Options

Seems like a great buy from senior owners. Dealer is selling higher mileage similar year/trim for 5k more.

These are amazing daily drivers with a low cost of ownership if you don't mind the "old people" stigma.

Over time, the suspension needs to be overhauled (like any normal car) but they are so straight forward and parts are readily available.

I would say throw the owners a reasonable offer and drive away knowing you'll have a headache free car.

Edit: My old man's got a 2000 Lexus RX300 with 163,000 trouble-free miles on his car. Just the usual oil change, brakes, and fluid flush every now and then. Car is still solid. Put my M3 to shame!

flagella 08-10-2015 08:13 AM

Is it hybrid though? I'm always concerned about how reliable the hybrid ones are.

Lowered_Klass 08-10-2015 10:14 AM

^ Being a Toyota, I would say it's probably one of the most reliable hybrid set ups on the market. I would have no worries about owning one.

white rocket 08-10-2015 10:21 AM

Toyota's Hybrid technology has been proven over and over again. There are still 1st gen Prius's running around on the original battery system.

tofu1413 08-10-2015 10:58 AM

same tech as those rebuilt taxi priuses running around town.

proven enough!

^ anyone know how much power and what mileage propane gets, just curious.

1968 Volvo 145s 16v Turbo

super cool wagon

fliptuner 08-10-2015 04:56 PM

I'd say a well tuned, built for propane, engine would make 5-10% less power than it's gas counterpart. It produces little/no carbon buildup, doesn't wash the cylinders (oil lasts longer) and engines generally last longer.
