sadly no. i don't have enough spare parts in my closet to fix that on the cheap, knowing that if the crank is f*cked it would mean engine replacement, and especially knowing how little your friend paid for his and it was at least still running... but i'm still curious.
i just tried a vin check and that number posted does not come up as valid... JH4DC 2314W S800367

i asked around to all my old type-r aquaintances if they knew this car, and one of them said he thinks he went to see this car a year ago when it was for sale, but it a running car. he thinks it's the same one because of the jdm momo airbag wheel and the big scuff on the front lip 
i called the number twice, ended up leaving voicemail, checked my phone this morning and noticed the seller called back close to midnight and i missed the call. ugh.
