Did some very preliminary research on this:

2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

and the price/condition ratio seems OK.

Is there anything I should watch out for with a hybrid? For a 7-8 year old car, I am kind of concerned that the hybrid battery might be approaching it's EOL.

I'm very uneasy with used hybrid.

Good deal? I'm not a JDM guy but the rain today has the first ideas of 2015'16 winter-ride cropping up.

ask about the usual, ie. timing belt, water pump, etc., and the clutch. all of this should have been done at this mileage and are big ticket items when it comes to replacing.

as long as it isn't a rebuilt, you shouldn't be. look at how well the taxi's have been doing. if the test of time can hold up with taxi's and all the abuse they get put through, theres no reason you should doubt them as a family grocery getter/commuter car.

One of my co-workers has been driving a Ford Escape hybrid for around 10 years without any issues and 300k+ kms on it. Still the original battery.

I could chime in on it:

solid runner. the original owner was infact an older lady that preferred to drive a 6MT car, hence she bought it brand new.

never abused. Motor runs super strong. Car was well serviced and dealer documented.

edit //

Feel free to PM me about the car. I know much more about it.
