Rust creeping into the door jambs is not a minor imperfection though, nor are sz 12 army boot sized dents. I agree with you when it comes to nicks and scratches.
If the guy wants the car he can get it and enjoy it, but he can understand that SWFK has his opinions on the price, and I agree with those opinions.

more good buys less bitching thanks

MindBomber 09-09-2015 03:47 PM

This may be a good buy. I believe it was built for the original owner by Racing Greed with a ridiculous budget but it eventually sold on RS for a rock bottom price. Maybe it will go for a decent price again? 2007 civic si turbo

Lol thanks, I'd like to have a car with matching paint panels that don't have funny gaps.

I cannot live with #f*ckedfenders #drift #misslecar

wasn't it RG who build it as a drag car but the transmission kept breaking under all that horsepower? :heckno:

Noran 09-10-2015 10:12 AM

GG NORAN!!! Got backed up at work yesterday and didn't get a chance to do it. Back at school again so I'm only at work Tues/Wed. If any of you homies need repair estimates done, PM them to me and I'll try to work something out on my lunch break, or stay after hours if my schedule permits.

My guess is that S2000 would have come out to around $1000-1200, about 75% of that going into paint time.

westopher 09-10-2015 10:16 AM

What shop are you at Noran?

with the exchange rate and shit...man...definitely give the lowest of the low offer and see what happens. rear end hit from early of its life could be a good or bad thing, you can see it as parts and aluminum parts being extremely expensive or you can see it as a car that sustained a good 75% plus damage of its value back then

jasonturbo 09-10-2015 10:43 AM

Yeah I'm curious to see what kind of interest the seller gets and what it sells for.

Dude is a spoiled rich kid AFAIK, I'm guessing he will take savage low ball cause he doesn't care about the money, just wants the car gone as he's replaced it with a P1 $$$$$.

See what the frame shop says, if it comes back clean with good pics I'll probably offer 35K USD.

The way the market is now, I'm guessing nobody wants to touch it because it's widebody and because it's rebuilt.

+ some of body has chips and front bumper has some spider cracks near emblem
+ maybe tires and brakes are fried etc... $$$$
+ god knows what else...

Wasn't this thing blowing transmissions left and right? I remember a post a long time ago saying its been through like 2 or 3 trans

MindBomber 09-10-2015 03:32 PM

I remember the posts stating it had been through three transmissions. In reality, though, a stock k-series transmission should be reliable at 500whp; this is proven ground in the Honda scene. I'd suggest repeated driver error was the issue rather than the set-up itself.

godwin 09-10-2015 03:39 PM

Strength of transmissions is measured by torque not whp. Honda is not known for strong gear box eg V6

vitaminG 09-10-2015 07:32 PM

that was an auto that had probelems. their manual transmissions have always been known for being pretty strong.

K20 transmissions start to have issues when mated to the k24 blocks that are making power. It's the extra torque load from the bigger block that causes issues.

K20 + 500whp + 3 bad transmissions = shitty driver.

swfk 09-11-2015 03:08 AM

Also 8gen Civic Si and RSX Type S have a common "third gear pop" where it goes in and just comes back out to neutral.

Some say transmission flushes will save it, or doing it often while it's still good will retain it. Didn't do much research on this topic myself.
