There are definitely more than just the velocity B10 over here, and they are in the same colour. Either way, Alpina lost its batshit crazy ways after the e34 b10 bi turbo. I'd rather pay half the price and get a manual 6 speed 540i.
Its a cool car no doubt, but only worth the premium if you've always dreamed of an Alpina.

I managed to get ahold of him already. He's out of town right now but I appear to be first in line so far. I'll be selling my 97 stock or as is at a fair price if I can pick up this turbo 90.

Miata person made it really easy (less than 1min) to find their location on google streetview. Another method to be first in line and show up in person, improving your chances of a good buy.

$8500 is a bit high, but it would worth throwing him an offer if you are interested in the car.

What stopped you from buying the type s ?
