The reason why i'm still considering this as an option is because the E46 m3's i've owned in the past were convertibles. This one is a coupe, with a desirable colour combination (subjective), late year model M3. Still on the fence to be honest, leaning towards a no to the trade. Also scared for re-sale value given the mileage lol

It's hard to say, since I haven't had 2 e46 M3s before, but I would do the trade. Your 328 is going to depreciate pretty fast still, whereas the M3 will hold it's value a little better, even if that value is lower due to the kms. This is besides the obvious fact that it's an M3 for a 328..

A stock 1990 dynos at something like 95whp. With the turbo, I can easily say that it is a completely different car and I'll be needing to find a tuner to work out what I think are some kinks with the tune but it feels faster than my old SR20 S13 that had a 3" turbo back exhaust. Flyin Miata says this kit produces 210whp or somewhere around there.

How much km is on the car ?

Mercedes ML500 2003 V8 - Non import, Low km.

I think this is a fair deal considering there is room for negotiation.

From seller :

" I am the second owner. I bought it with 40000 km in Dec 2009 and have driven it ever since.
The only accident it had was a rear end in 2012 – ICBC replaced the rear bumper and screws holding it.

I priced the car to reflect few things that I, if I were buying it, would do.

Oil change – Due in 1000 km based on maintenance records
Replace break pads
Windshield has a crack – I have been driving it with it since Dec 2013. You can continue to do the same or you can chose to replace the windshield. "

would you guys trade a 07 E93 328i Hardtop convertible w/ 95k kms for an 05 Alpine White E46 M3 w/ Red Interior 6speed w/ 150k kms?

both local bc cars no accidents, the only thing the m3 needs is a new set of rear tires.

Is this a straight trade? If so, I would definitely take the M3. Hands down.

knight604 09-22-2015 01:54 PM

I would.

The MLs are big money pits. I think it was the first MB vehicle made in North America and it shows. ML500 is probably better than the ML320, but there's still lots of issues with the vehicle itself.

My friend's dad has one...and it sits in the driveway, waiting for the next repair.

what kinda repairs?

I have one in the family and it hasn't been that bad in terms of unexpected maintenance/repairs. Maybe it's luck that mine is an 05 and perhaps a late build. According to Wikipedia MB had dumped a lot of money into the manufacturing facilities to help making the 06+ better quality.

Shitty dealer, nice car. Very tempted to check this out but my trade in is near worthless :okay:

Mileage hasn't changed in 2 years and the tranny grind is pre-existing and it needs a VI. I wonder what the interior looks like since the first ad said it's "custom."

How much would you offer him given all these problems? $400? $500? $600?

I always like the M45 but that is priced on the high side. I had an 02 Q45 white on tan 160kms that I imported from California. I had a tough time even getting $6000 for it in 2010. I was so relieved when it finally sold.

There are very few buyers for older Infiniti's and even less for the virtually unknown 03/04 M45.

Despite that they look great when done right.

A co-worker has one of these and he's constantly complaining about it breaking down alongside the pricey repair bills.
