SumAznGuy, Trollguy is right, that is a good one for a fair price. I have seen nicer ones with lower KMs but they want $55K to $60k. Verts are cheap because no one wants them. I have seen lots of nice 996 Turbos on Kijjiis in the AB/SK/MB

It's a pile of crap though, don't buy it :troll:

Are these actual pics of his s2k? Because my friend was saying how the pictures look exactly the same as the postman's.

swfk 10-01-2015 03:29 PM

I can confirm that the postman's photos look different

Actually looks like an 2003-04 from the interior & not the JDM dash kit, actually the Metra dash kit but low mileage, clutch done, clean title & 6MT.

not 2005

Yes, that's actual pictures of his car. It's a stock s2000, any other s2000 in that blue will look identical as well.

I agree that the Blitz 996TT in the low 40s would be a good buy. FYI to wrap a 993 in Vancouver is approx $5000. I assume 996 would be along the same lines.

I think a RHD S2000 will be a fun weekend car and yet not an investment. 1999 130kms, $12,699 I think this was a Tyee or Velocity car.

1999 Honda S2000 RHD Victoria City, Victoria

or 93 BMW M3 Japanese import. 182kms, $8900 LHD so I figure this will sell.

1997 BMW M3 Sedan

would be nice if under 10k.. (and assuming its sorted out)

dared3vil0 10-01-2015 07:29 PM

Wait. You traded the C63 for the M3?

1997 TOYOTA RAV4 MANUAL 4X4 LOCAL NO DECS

I know, BMW is very different from a RAV4, but it would be my car of choice (apart from the fact that it is a 12 year old BMW.. it just looks prime).

What should I choose?

-US import from Ohio - current owner bought it last year... He is at least the 3rd owner.
-Headlights are in absolutely horrid condition, cracking near the edge on one side and both are completely 'yellowed'. The passenger side headlight does not sit flush and protrudes from fender.
-Front bumper missing VIN sticker and fitment is off (seller claimed all 10 vin tags were intact during prior email communications...). Not sure if it is just repainted or a replacement part.
-I *think* there might've been a front end accident which caused a bumper respray/replacement and the headlights not sitting flush. Iirc, seller claims the car has a clean carfax/carproof.
-Rear bumper has the VIN sticker but the fitment is wayyy off....
-The driver's seat has a medium-large rip smack in the middle of where you sit. It is just where the photo cuts off.
-Aftermarket soft top (Gahh). Not sure how to say this other than that it clearly looks different than oem soft tops. From what I've read on s2ki, it seems like it is a higher quality soft top.

Dude... All 3 of those cars you picked are so disastrous or coming from shady as shit places.... I don't even know where to start helping you. Go back to school son!

I think we have enough of moronic sellers posting shitty ad just because they think they own a car that's highly sought after. Fucking wasting people's time by posting very limited information about the car, pictures that only show good parts of the car, zero fking history, etc.

If you claim the car is clean, at least have the fucking documents ready at hand to prove it.

None of the above, go buy a Rav4 with a clean title privately and save yourself some hassle and money.

Agreed. I viewed a SSM 05 a week or two ago where the seller was listing it for 27-28k claiming it is worth it due to it being the last year of DBW, and having 0 accidents. Went to see it in person and it was clear as day the passenger side fender and bumper were replaced due to an accident (missing VIN sticker and you can see it was re-painted after popping the hood). The seller then says that 'oh, the owner's or owner's girlfriend got in a very minor fender bender'.... I THOUGHT YOU SAID NO ACCIDENTS :2finger::2finger::2finger::fulloffuck::facepalm:

SumAznGuy 10-02-2015 08:52 AM

I remember going to look at an S2000 at one of those chop shops back in the day.
The sales guy had a carfax report that showed no accidents but you can clearly see the shitty sanding marks over the bondo. WTF....

I still can't stop thinking about that 911TT. Damn you Trollguy. Why do you have to be so right.

Hmmm down payment for a house or live in a 911TT.

Oh wait. Did they up the price by $1000?

YOLO brah. Didn't 4444 tell you in the RE thread that RE ownership in Vancouver is totally overrated? :troll:
