Well, you can take the ad for what it's worth, but what it comes down to is its a gorgeous 2002 with Alpinas and an s14 which regardless of anything, if it's rust free and the engine has good compression, it's going to make your life fucking awesome.

Besides the usual checks for used cars, ask the owner when was the last time the valves retainers were replaced. See if the retainers were replaced with AP1 parts or AP2.

On the test drive, make sure you take the car onto the highway and give her a good rip up to 100 km/h if you can.
Pay attention for any vibrations from the rear.
(axle bucket) Inner CV joint swap DIY with pics - S2KI Honda S2000 Forums

Check the top to see if there are any rips or tears. Ask the owner if the top has been changed as the MY00 cars have the plastic rear windows that usually go cloudy and crack over time. The one in the pics look clear still.

If all things check out, this could be a very good buy. But can't figure out why the owner has the new style plates if the car has been his DD since Aug 2014.
Those are 06 and newer AP2 wheels.
Rear tail lights look like they have been blacked out.
Aftermarket rear badge.

Damnit. Just emailed the owner.

Hmmm... Something is a bit odd. Owner bought the car August last year and claims he only put on 10K km's but this car is his daily driver.
He doesn't know anything about the valve retainers being changed.
Claims the car has no claims.
Rear tail lights are smoked out.

If anyone does go to check out the car, look for the vin stickers on all the panels.
They should all have the same VIN number as on the firewall and dash if the car.
10 VIN stickers total:
4 under the hood: 1 each fender, 1 underside of hood, 1 front bumber on a little lip
2 in each door "well": one on either side of the door jamb (one on the rear fender piece, one on the swinging door piece)
2 in the trunk: 1 underside of trunk lid, one on the little lip of the rear bumper that points to the trunk
They're pretty obvious. Each is ~3 inches long by 1 inch tall and they're white.

^I had an AK plate in May 2014, so AX sounds about right for August.

Anyone know about this one? It's been for sale for almost two weeks being the cheapest one around. Its mileage isn't high either.

Crappy photo's make it too hard to tell if these are real or fake Bride seats.
$800 for carbon seats aren't bad.
Would be a steal if they were real.

If anyone says "not sure if they're fake or real" it generally means they're fake.

Saw that yesterday. Based on numbers alone it's a bad buy. I remember BJ BMW had a 2010 with a large claim (but not that much) and sold for around the same or a bit less.
