I've watched him build the whole thing, he bought his old car back from the kid after it was totaled then swapped everything over to the hatch. The turbo setup in the em1 donor car was put together by MDA fab but tuning and whatever else was done somewhere else from what I remember. It's got a lot of good parts

1994 BMW E36 M3 coupe *67494 km*

Curious to see what some of you guys think about this one. Price is decent I'd say for kms, collectability and what looks like a solid vehicle

westopher 11-26-2015 07:54 AM

It can't be a 94. 94s were eurospec only, so they were either the 1/45 Canadian editions (which are commanding crazy money) or they are Japan/german imports. None of the above were ever allowed to be registered in the states. I'd assume a typo though before some sort of registration issue.
Its a lux package. Crappy wood trim, no vader seats, no twisty side skirts, front bumper mesh grille is supposed to be body coloured on 95s so I assume the front bumper has probably had at least a bit of work done.
If someone wants a 19k e36, I don't think thats the one. If telling everyone the # on the odometer is that important to you, you won't really find much lower, but from a collectability standpoint, that car has all the wrong boxes checked from the factory to be the a car thats sought out.
You'd probably need to spend a bit of money on major maintenance items that are dying from old age, but haven't been replaced due to mileage.

But judging by my insurance cost on the e92 M3.... The other owners crashing theirs doesn't help at all :heckno:

winter is coming... get ready for another rate hike :(

It's also been with that dealer for 25k kms as the odo in the pic shows it being just under 42k km. Probably drove it till the point where he knew a bunch of stuff needed to be replaced and decided to sell it again. Not worth.

westopher 11-26-2015 09:22 AM

Thats in miles, because its a US car. They did the math for the ad.

Doubt the car only needs a fuel pump since it is at a crappy Surrey dealership.

How much Altima is too much? Our Altima 2.5 S is pleasantly sweet and wants to be two Hershey bars washed down with a Coke. Hope you like Nissan's brand of sugar buzz.

wth?

How do you search for pictures to see if they are used somewhere else?

You can use Tineye as well, I find if one doesn't get anything the other usually does.

My neighbour in Youbou when I was a kid had one back in the '80s. Probably the only one I've ever seen (his was also white).

From another point of view, I see those guys driving around coquitlam all the time. Nothing personal but unless they had help I wouldn't trust them with any mechanical work. also giving them the benefit of the doubt and they do know what they doing, it shouldn't take much work to swap the blocks around and then sell for more money.

I always have trouble seeing a car as a deal when they say a vvehicles needs a new block, tranny, head etc and they have the parts to fix, but won't fix it. It comes across shady as Fuck. Fix the car, and sell it for more money, but more times then not it needs more then what is listed.

Didn't answer my question of where it came from ... There can't be that many on Vancouver Island; would've been cool if it was my former neighbour's former vehicle from 26+ years ago but I guess I'll never know.
