BMW Z4 2003 - $11500

My dad is looking to pick up a fun car and he's been debating between a first gen Z4 (in auto... has a bad left knee) or a '69 Cutlass Supreme (which was the first car he ever bought). His DD is a Prius C, so I kinda get why he wants another car to zoom around in. :lol I don't know enough about the Z4 to say what's a good deal or not, but this one seems to be the best of the bunch when it comes to the price:mileage ratio.

03 Z4 at that mileage is worth $12k?

5spd Cressida? Would make a great sleeper or drift build, looks pretty clean.

Pretty darn high mileage, no interior photos, and dubious mechanical shape (why was the head gasket changed?)...

Not to mention the "BTxxxx" plates which leads me to believe buddy got the car in the last 2 or so months. Hard to believe he is selling it so fast without there being an underlying reason, unless he was flipping the car. Which leads me to believe it wasn't anywhere near mint shape if he got it for less than what he is asking for it.

No harm in taking a look, but be very vigilant. Have an inspection done and a CarProof as well if you're serious. Just my $0.02.

Go look at it, price is fair compared to other s2ks. Obviously you get what you pay for.

The crappy loonie makes it an OK deal. BMW I6 means lots of bottom end grunt which means the car can be an awesome daily. Steptronic or whatever is boring as hell but not the worst transmission ever. M54's are super reliable if you get a good one. Not as fun as an S2000 but a lot more practical. The chassis is a little boaty but with a good set of tires still very precise. I've had my 5sp 2.5 for 7 years. No problems other than the pop-out cupholders self-destructing quite a few times. I'd let you drive mine if it wasn't cold as balls and uninsured.

Yup. Even in a Z4M, they're still pretty crap. Better than no cupholders in the poopra though. :P
