1999 Porsche 911 Carrera - New IMS, RMS & Clutch - No Accidents

Sounds like this guy decided to do all the work the car likely needed. Going from a decent deal to a good deal. Price increase is totally reasonable if he's got a legit receipt for the IMS/clutch work. Maybe even talk to the mechanic that did it.

Somebody buy it so it can drop off my daily porsche search results.

Lot of life left on this Sedan

2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Automatic, 4 door, sunroof, fully load

EDIT:

http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5347081752.html

I've always liked these despite modest HP. Needs a radiator though...

EDIT EDIT: ^ Looks like parts network is near non-existent

Mother-in-law wiped out her car this past weekend, sounds like it's going to be a write off. She wants to get a truck or truck-like vehicle that can handle 4 adults and has AWD/4WD (though, IMO, 2WD is fine; it's Vancouver Island, we haven't had any snow yet this year, one or two last year). She wants a pickup bed for hauling furniture, which she refurbishes and resells. An SUV/wagon would limit height too much. Budget is probably up to around $10k.

I was thinking along the lines of a Subaru Baja or Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Both kind of have mediocre reliability track records from what I've read, but most owners seem to love them regardless. Only Baja I could find in the province was in Kamloops.

Any good finds on light trucks and/or pickup alternatives like the Baja would be greatly appreciated.

Ridgeline seems to fit the bill.

Example, higher kms, but has the canopy for furniture. http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5305701020.html

Taco's are great too but look for double cabs if rear seat comfort is a factor (which I assume it is)

Jmac: the Tacoma wins in almost every category except fuel mileage and interior cabin size. Some prefer a full size truck like an F150, Silverado, etc for size alone. If that isn't a factor then the Taco wins hands down everywhere else. Plus they are actually worth something after 5 - 10 years. Look at 2005 Tacoma's then look at 2005 F150's. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Do people really enjoy the look of those tan interiors? Love the rest of the car though.

Linear model, so not the Aero, but has the Aero wheels, and the new trans is a bonus.
Biggest issue here is that it probably needs a turbo and motor. Sludge buildup is very common on these 2.3Ts, but are great motors and can hold a lot of boost if maintained. Best case would be it has an electrical issue.
(get a 2006+ 2.3T model)
Would still be a fun car to build if cheap enough.
Also parts availably is not really a problem, good sources around locally

No they aren't and I've owned a half dozen Saabs. The latest Saab you want to own is a 1997 9000, period. After that GM really got their claws into all of Saab's lineup. They took the B series motor which had been bullet proof for over a decade, cheapened up the internals, upped the rev limit, and created a motor that would eat itself (their great attempt at a fix was to drill a hole in the block and run an external oil line from the bottom of the block to the head... yeah, need I say more). A healthy 9000 can hold 17.5 psi to redline stock and the motor will last longer than the rest of the car (the trans won't though if you do anything but 1 gear pulls though), I wouldn't touch a 9-5 with a 10 foot pole (cheap engine internals, gm parts bin equipped, rebadged opels).
