that e55 wagon is tempting me so hard.. |
I found this Craigslist ad for a tiny house/shack for $20 000 in Vancouver. :lawl: Tiny house / cabin / studio 12' x 24' footprint tiny house FOR SALE! Yes, the entire house! This house was converted from a 1952 workshop / garage. The exterior has striated cedar siding, aluminium roof panels, double glazed windows, spray foamed ceiling, R14 batt wall insulation with vapour barrier. The interior design has been very well thought out and it is arguably the most comfortable tiny house you can find, there is no sacrifice in any way. The interior space is approximately 250 sq ft. Everything is custom. The loft bed fits a double mattress, under the bed has massive storage, a full slide out closet and the stairs pull out as your dresser. The kitchen feels larger than a full size kitchen and has a Miele cooktop and GE dishwasher. All contents of the house are included: fridge,46" TV, Blomberg washer and dryer, etc. There is ONE catch. The house is attached to a foundation and will need to be moved using a house raising / moving company and another foundation needs to be built at the new site. I can arrange everything to be done for the move and foundation and setup at the new location. The footprint of the house is about 12' x 24'. Serious enquiries only. |

Honestly the problems are pretty limited for the e55. Electrical problems usually come from clogged drains or broken seals allowing water damage - pretty uncommon The main problems are airmatic suspension leaks and a finicky fuel sender. However air strut replacements are only $300-400 each, not $1000. The fuel sender was recalled in the US but not Canada yet. I'm pretty pleased with it, not many cars from 10 years ago have 500hp and still do 10L/100km on the highway |
Just chat with my buddy at Mercedes, the E55 could get air suspension issue. Shock will be leaking, but now they can rebuild the shock. Also could leak into the transmission oil cooler damaging the transmission. He said also check driving up hill and see if it will shutter. I personal love the wagon look. Good luck. Quote:

The other bonus is you can make the concrete foundation whatever you want; you could make a basement underground much bigger than the footprint of the house. In fact, that might be the only way to meet the minimum square footage of a living space. In any case, you can't drive this house, so perhaps discussion should be continued in a new thread. Far as I know this thread is for good vehicle buys. |

I look down upon anyone who can't spell the model of their own car, or bother proof reading. |
japanese import? i wonder how much the seller is profiting at this price... |
I dunno if that's a good deal, but for $62k I feel like you could get a lot more car. Newer 7-series or S-Class, VIP car from Japan. Insurance and maintenance on a Bentley would be ridiculous. Mind you if you bagged and slammed it with the right wheels it would be kinda cool. :fullofwin: |
Given the mileage and if everything checks out, this is a pretty decent deal BMW 330i Low Mileage. Pristine Condition. Rare |
^ those are some nice seats in the 330i. |
Yup, alcantara seats. Looks like he has an early m performance package. Only thing to note, I have the same seats in mine and the bolster on the driver's side tends to wear down quite badly over time. |
|
^ for the condition and mileage, I think $75K to $80K is fair...... |
As much as it kills me to say it. 100k seems reasonable for that car. Its like 75k in real money, and you aren't finding 930s for that in the States very often. 75-80k is like what 55-60k USD? Not a chance of finding a 930 for that. Not even one with 200k on it. |
More details on the 930 Quote:

I question his sanity with that replacement. |
