Yesss...manual wagon!

Says these have a 230hp 6-cyl. How hard is it to squeeze more power out of these cars?

8-10 cash.....those cars are barely worth 5gs now.

You can chip it and get another 10hp and maybe squeeze another 10hp via intake/exhaust but that's it. Waste of money.

Somebody better buy this. If it's still selling when I go over to Victoria in Jan I'm probably going to succumb to my manual sport wagon boner and get it (wife has even signed off).

FS: 2008 e92 M3 rare low mileage

48888 KMs?
Better not drive it anymore to keep that marketing plan going. Car looks awesome although thats really high $ for an 08.

tofu1413 12-13-2015 12:19 PM

high $ for an 08! but looks like its a matter of you get what you pay.

What would a "good deal" be on an average 08/09 E92 M3 coupe, 6MT. Fine with small accidents as long as properly repaired. As base as possible car would be preferred, any colour except black. ~100km.

Exactly. Also the signal bulbs are probably never turned on either... brand new!

No offense to Westopher and other M3 enthusiasts. :fullofwin:

I know that C63s are a completely different animal, but they tend to be quite a bit cheaper than used E92 M3s.

I personally find E92 M3s not very fun.. too heavy to be agile, too little torque to move. Feels more like a cross between a AMG and an Audi RS.

I've driven a couple, and while I agree they felt a bit heavy on an autocross, at open tracking or on the street I PERSONALLY enjoyed the M3 far more.

I'd be happy to go have a look at the car and drive it if anyone here is serious. I am curious to see how the car drives. I have very limited BMW experience but have worked on cars for a long time and can assess condition and how the owner takes care of it.

? 2006 Saab 9'3 Aero Sport Combi Touring?

Always thought the SportCombi was/is a gorgeous looking wagon. Are parts hard to come by for these things? Price doesn't seem that unreasonable, for $8500 I think I'd be in.

Actually, there are a few mods that can produce real improvements. It's not a 335 that can pick up 60hp for $500 but the biggest single improvement available to a 128/328 is a header. The factory design and OEM integrated cats are absolutely brutal, you either want an AA header ($$) or a SuperSprint header ($$$$). If you pair that with the OEM and plug and play N51 intake manifold and an off the shelf AA tune, you can expect an actual 25wtq improvement over much of the powerband.

I have the AA header and tune sitting in my garage, waiting for some time to install - my plan is to do a before and after dyno to truly establish what can be done with that header. I can't do the manifold for my class, I am expecting 15-20wtq improvement across much of the powerband without the manifold.

Mark
