:suspicious:

you the seller?

Regardless, this model with auto isn't on anyone's wish list when looking for an older BMW.
It's about as desireable as a minty Volvo 262C Bertone :heckno:

Audi B5 RS4 Avant BiTurbo Avant

although if someone wanted a jdm s4 wagon theres another one for sale from the same importer that this guy got it for a fair bit less

I emailed them last week about the RS4 they have, they have four Audi's in stock, 2 x S4 & 2 x RS4 but only two are on their site at the moment.

Just been watching these video's and I now want an RS4.

I have never imported a vehicle before, how legit are these guys, I have read a few story's where exporters in Japan steal your money or send you a mini after paying for a Ferrari.

Brave has generally reviewed pretty well. They curate their stock they purchase well enough that you won't be buying a total lemon, regular maintenance aside.

Thanks, just trying to workout if Brave Auto is the real deal before I pull the trigger, just spent an hour searching the Internet again about them, seems to be a lot of positive reviews on different forums but these days it is hard to tell if the reviews are genuine or not so thank you for your reply.

vitaminG 12-29-2015 09:47 PM

keep in mind that Audi S4 ad posted earlier the guy said his car was from brave auto and hes buying his next vehicle from them as well. so you could likely assume they didnt rip him off.

There are these things called ferries you know ;)

I flew to Calgary, rented a car and drove to Red deer to look at a car once. Then I drove back, because I got scared of the amount of work involved which I knew prior to going. haha

if it is a car you really want, 16 Dollars and 1.5 hrs may not seem so much.

jasonturbo 12-30-2015 10:14 AM

It costs like 500$ to ship a car from Calgary to Van.

Edit - Just realize it was in Victoria... not Calgary.

Damn man, 75$ on a float plane lol go just for the scenic tour.

Typically, these K20Z1 cars are quite rare, so their asking prices tend to be in the $12 - $14k range, and the mileage would be higher as well.

If the ad is real, either the car has some serious accident on its records, or the seller has no idea how much the car should be worth.

Wut?? Do people really pay 12-14K for a fucking RSX these days? I don't believe it.

11K seems too high for an RSX, I doubt it's a fake ad.

Traum 12-30-2015 10:31 AM

$12 - 14k as asking price. I'd imagine the actual transaction price to be a bit lower.

But still, 83k km on the odo is very low. The ones I've seen before are all in the 120k+ range.

You can certainly get an earlier model year RSX-S in the $4-5k range. They will be more beat up, have much higher mileage, and has the K20A1 instead of the higher powered K20Z1. The suspension is also slightly better in the 05-06 cars as well, but there is only so much lipstick you can apply on a pig to make that rear suspension work.

SumAznGuy 12-30-2015 12:52 PM

Honestly, that ad is from mid November.
We don't even know if that car is still for sale.

I would be willing to bet that car is gone within 48 hours assuming it's not a pile of shit up close.

this is a good approximation.
I shipped my bmw from Regina to Calgary in 2010 for about 550 incl tax. it was on the train and it was insured with them

westopher 12-30-2015 08:07 PM

If I ever list my car I think I'll put my location as Victoria to weed out the flakers.
If you are serious about making a 12k+ purchase, 100 bucks and a few hours isn't going to be the deal breaker.

underscore 12-30-2015 08:41 PM

^ only slaw is now you have to deal with the Victoria flakers, for whatever reason I could see those being even worse.

hud 91gt 12-30-2015 08:45 PM

You may get hassled by the Victoria flakers, but they aren't going to be setting up appointments in Vancouver to go for a joy ride. Neither will the Vancouver ones, unless they are serious.

Jmac 12-30-2015 08:50 PM

When I listed my Civic, I had over a dozen people make appointments to see it the first Saturday and another few for Sunday. Pissed me off so much waiting around all day.

4 people showed up, 3 made offers. Didn't take the highest offer as their offer was pending pre-purchase inspection. Took the highest offer that wasn't subject to a PPI. Not that I was afraid it wouldn't pass, but guaranteed money now is better than maybe money later, even if it's a bit more ($300, not a huge difference). Plus it's a guarantee I don't have to show the car again, wasting more time.

fliptuner 12-30-2015 11:40 PM

If a car that you really want comes up for sale, at a price you can live with, you better be willing to jump cause someone else will.

Wait, are we talking about cars or houses in Vancouver?

Honestly, having to deal with flakers is part of life.
Look at all the people that walk into bestbuy to look at the electronics and then go and buy the same item online wherever it is the cheapest.
Or they buy it and then demand a price match because it is cheaper somewhere else.
