It is an engine that I can thoroughly enjoy both on and off the street, and that makes it an all round performer.

The K24, on the other hand, feels quite a bit lazier at the high end. As such, I would only consider it to be a superior engine for street use.

Another reason I recommended the K20 Civic Si is because of price. At the very least, it is something that should be considered if threezero is looking at a K24 Civic Si.

to clarify. the car is for my gf not for me. I already have enough civics

first impression is that is very very smooth, even smoother than my frs but the ivtec on this thing has got to be the most underwhelming vtec ever. the 6 speed shifter. wow its so good. Interior good, got all the tech that my girl cares about.

I think she is pretty set on the car already, a very good daily manual car for her. Honestly she doesn't care what engine is in the car. Don't anticipate to do much to the car as it is hers. Is K20 the 8th generation? I assume the k24 is the 9th generation?

I don't know my honda outside of my b series lolol.

Just want to verify whether she is getting it at a good price. 20g, 11k km on the odometer. Everything is mint, previous car owner must be a car guy comes with uninstall eibach spring and pre install red type R Honda badge

The transmission was a piece of shit on that car... totally ruined it... MTX-IV Mazda unit I believe it was... but the real killer was the french sourced Valeo clutch... ugh... try getting a decent launch with that thing. What a wonderful engine though, the sound of those secondaries opening up past 4,000RPM and the way the front of the car lifted when they did was pretty awesome, pulled hard all the way to 7,000 effortlessly. Interesting to read up on those Yamaha engines if you have a chance, they were actually seriously detuned after Yamaha developed them because they were afraid it would outrun the Mustang's V8... original prototypes were over 300hp.

I actually bought an engine on its own after I sold the car intending to find something to swap it into... but after a few years gave up and sold it to my friend who grenaded his SHO engine... sigh... would still like to get one and put it in something some day. That engine is super tall though, so tough to find something for it. The SHOtus Lotus Esprit comes to mind but already been done... was thinking about my dad's 74 Capri but he has collector's plates on it now so that's a no go hahaha
It's too bad Ford wanted more control over the SHO project and took the helm over the V8 Fishbowl Taurus that looks ugly as fuck to this day. I really want a clean, unmolested 89-95 SHO to park alongside my GS' but maybe some day.

That type r is located in Kelowna. Owner doesn't know much about the rebuilt status and claims the engine was replaced when the front end was repaired. Also the gas gauge doesn't work and does not have the stock wheels.

EDIT: Just saw his ad on HT. "Spider gears in the diff have some slight play but will come with replacement lsd"

Or you could just buy a Canadian 2001 with similar kms for the same price or less (once you eventually find one). Not really a great deal but it sure looks clean!

The benefit is you get mint seats as opposed to the ones with crushed bolsters you get here due to fat ppl sitting on them.

Oh, I remember there were so many s2k owners drooling over that VGS wheel.

Turbo Del Sol Rims low kms
Anyone know about this car?
Been for sale for a while.. lowered the price a lot too. With all the engine work and running 11.8psi you'd expect bigger numbers..
Also anyone know about this one?
