Rear bumper shows engines condition.. but looks good otherwise

What kind of work will have to be done? There are a couple of SIR's in Duncan for $4000 / $4200 so seems like a good price if near stock

it says in the ad that the head needs a valve grind... hopefully nothing more, but the head needs to be pulled for this so head gasket, timing belt, etc. replacement would make sense, but i wonder if the piston rings would be okay.

fliptuner 01-25-2016 09:24 AM

It probably needs a valve. Melted exhaust valves are not uncommon. You could still test the compression on the other 3 cylinders though.

a bit junky because of the k-car heritage it has, but it was pretty fast junk back in the day...

tofu1413 01-25-2016 02:16 PM

that's what i was wondering about... is it right off the turbos, or is there still some piping down there somewhere?

Energy 01-25-2016 02:25 PM

They do it solely for the sound.

jackp0t 01-25-2016 02:32 PM

@thumper The turbos is actually on the other side of the motor piping runs on the side

To add @tofu answer yup there are better ones
I would like to think im using one of the better one.lol

It still open but there is a metal plate at the buttom to somehow block the motor component from heat. I left the stock air guide thingy ( dont know what its offcially called.lol) because it helps a ton
