What kind of work will have to be done? There are a couple of SIR's in Duncan for $4000 / $4200 so seems like a good price if near stock

it says in the ad that the head needs a valve grind... hopefully nothing more, but the head needs to be pulled for this so head gasket, timing belt, etc. replacement would make sense, but i wonder if the piston rings would be okay.

It probably needs a valve. Melted exhaust valves are not uncommon. You could still test the compression on the other 3 cylinders though.

a bit junky because of the k-car heritage it has, but it was pretty fast junk back in the day...

^ its an after market air filter, Its 2 because its twin turboed the n54 motor

stupid to run aftermarket open cones on that car.


stock box insulates it well from heat soak.

that's what i was wondering about... is it right off the turbos, or is there still some piping down there somewhere?

They do it solely for the sound.

It still open but there is a metal plate at the buttom to somehow block the motor component from heat. I left the stock air guide thingy ( dont know what its offcially called.lol) because it helps a ton
