Nope. That color is undesirable and if the color were white, silver, black it would have a broader potential buyer market. Since when is a maroon red a visually appealing color? There's a reason you don't see new Porsches or any sports car in that "arena red".. It won't sell to anyone but a select few old rich niche buyers.
Just an example of a glossy wrap that looks good if you don't like matte. Remember you can get it done in any color. "Green Car" movement: Cayman S color change | |

You can slap the same paint on a 2014 911 but in my opinion, wouldn't capture the same look and feel of a pre 2000's Porsche. If I were looking to buy a 915, I'd find one that wasn't in a White, Silver or Black. I'd look for one in this specific color such as this: 
You do have a point in saying that it appeals to a smaller market but wrapping a unmolested 90's 993 in a bright ass green is more appealing than original paint. I say nuh uh honey. Nothing really beats original paint, unless you have a car that's in black, white or silver.
