This is one of the ugliest IMHO rear end treatments on a modern design that I can think of. Like aztek bad. FU bangle butts. I like some of the other stuff that was woven into the design ethos, but never the trunks.
^^ and that angle is actually pretty flattering
i'm down to scrap over this
Look what happens if you turn it a bit more to the right....

Its true, but as the saying goes, you gotta pay to play. 505 NA horsepower and a 6 speed transmission is one fucking amazing way to play.
You'd probably go through a set of PSS every 4 months lol.
yep.
drove a E60 M5 in stock that had the six speed.
it is a match made in heaven when paired with that V10. balance of fun and power.... and those revs......
Those E60/E63 cars don't feel like boats like the current gen cars either. Fun fact: E60/63 cars use more aluminum in the front end, current cars only use steel; more weight savings on the front.
good god. I'd ditch my M3 in a heart beat for a mint six speed LCI E60 M5 (in any color)
Tbh, aesthetics wise, the bangle cars are meh, but the driving experience is very very BMW. (well shitty electronics were part of it too... and leaky trunks)

the smg ratios suit the car better.
the 6 speed makes the car feel sluggish.

Believe it or not, but the E60 M5 is actually quite soft under 3000rpms. It really needed gears. After that get ready for endless pull to redline. Long term maintenance on the E60 M5 will be nuts, but the sound and NA pull to redline is truly blood curling.
As time goes on I think the "Bangle" design cars are looking better with time. The flame surfacing was way ahead of its time.
imho, I think the E60 M5 6sp manual will be more sought after than the E39 M5. No one is ever is going to make a 5.0l V10 with 500+hp.

haha, I am suck a loser, I traded my mint alpine white 2008 LCI M5 60k kms (fully loaded with Alcantara headliner and the coveted comfort seats with Active bolsters) for $33K about 2 year ago!

not sure if armoured or not........ someone got a gun for field testing?
Glass photo certainly suggests it has bullet-proof glass. Can't confirm the doors/chassis are protected without further photos/teardown or information.

i recall these cars were over engineered and featured double layered glass for side windows.
but not sure if armoured or not

Pretty sure that would just be some sort of high-line model. There are a few e32 7 series around locally with very similar packages. Individual high line models with 3/4" thick glass, all that jazz
