again, be careful. only if the timing belt service has been done and the head gaskets are not on their way out. that's an easy $5k at least right there, and we don't know what that clutch has for mileage (could be original)... changing out the clutch in an awd subaru is very labor intensive.

i know it seems like i keep going on about used subarus, but i only say this because i used to have a subaru and came from a subaru family, and i know someone who bought a used one for cheap like this, only to become a money pit because of all of the above :(

spend the extra $ and get it inspected or ask for service history. if it all checks out then you've got yourself a smoking deal.

72 Datsun 240Z in great condition That color tho...
Not a bad price considering the amount one can spend restoring one of these.

It's that gross two tone yellow/black one and a Suzuka parts car with front end hit.

170k and I think engine burns oil(?), third gear grind on the yellow one. He kept going lower on price and reposting saying "If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it" but keeps trying to sell creatively. Now comes with a parts car lol

Edit:

it still shows a washington state registration... how does something like that work out in a sale?

hud 91gt 02-26-2016 10:04 AM

Oh... If the US resident signed the back of the registration properly, and was imported to canada properly just never registered here it should be fine. Otherwise, have fun. I had some issues when I imported mine. iCBC couldn't give me a straight answer on what to do, but got it figured out eventually.

Your safest bet would be to not buy it until the current owner registers it here. Otherwise you could be in a world confusion.

before i bailed out of vw's, i remember there being discussions about getting cobb to make their accessport setup work for VAG stuff. i don't know if that has happened or not.

I'm very inactive in the VW scene, but last time I checked they don't make anything for my GTI of the same gen, so most likely no for A3 on the same platform.

Hate ads that just say "aftermarket wheels" making my squint to see what brand of wheels those are. Most likely reps >:[
