When was the last time anyone saw a BMW z3 m coupe for sale semi locally? I've seen a few of the non-M's for sale. Just curious if there are even any around... S52 or S54 model would be fine

Last one I saw for sale was a LSB s54 clown shoe with a salvage title for 36kUSD LOL.
Cool cars, but right now they are commanding a ridiculous premium, considering they are basically an e30 with an engine swap as far as driving dynamics. One that the subframe will fall out of.

The coupe's is way stiffer than the roadster. The z3 vert drives like a wet noodle. The front end turn in and steering is actually pretty good, because they adopted the e36 front suspension. The weak chassis and e30 rear suspension is complete crap, it feels like it does everything one moment later than the front end. The believe the coupe is 2x stiffer than the vert, and completely changes the character of the car. The rear end still doesn't have tons of grip over bumps, but at least it is very predictable and solid. You can buy tons of chassis braces for the z3 and it makes a huge difference. Hope you can find a 2001 z3m coupe.

Even that car is tempting. But historically the M Convertibles don't appreciate in nearly the same way as their coupe brethren. E36 m3 verts in the same condition as coupe comment about half the price. And e46 m3 cabrio are about 10k less than the equal coupe.
So asking 20k, even if it's a good example... Don't expect it to appreciate (or even holds its value?) compared to the m coupe

If anyone is actually considering an M roadster, my best friend in Edmonton has a LSB s54 M roadster with like 60k he could be convinced to sell. It likely wouldn't even be a retarded price. He drives it like 4 times a year because edmonton is such a shit hole..........ahem......right jasonturbo?
