so the concensus for porsches are, unless it's a 993 and older, only get a GT car or dont bother?

edit: or just no AWD porsches? so c2, c2s are a-ok etc

There isn't all that much exciting about that particular porsche. So-so colour combo/spec. Blitzkrieg is not who I'd really want to buy a car from either. The fact that they actually have a very capable shop, and have sold overpriced cars with laundry lists worth of problems (they are disclosed) and have services already drawn up for people to squeeze more money is really poor business in my opinion. Its a shame because as a shop they have been great. If you are charging a premium, it better be a premium product when you drive off the lot.
On top of all that, the M2 is RWD, has a usable backseat, is cheaper, and will stand out much more.

+1

That one has the right color.... thats about it.

Having driven a C4S as well (997.1 anyways) ... it just doesn't feel as nice as a standard C2/ C2S ...... that and you lose some frunk space to make room for the front diff.

I mean if that black on black car had a few more things: sport seats, sport design wheel, sport exhaust, red seat belts, sports exhaust and a few more ridiculous option (power kit and sorts) it may be worth it... but not for a bare-ish, not so special, a bit generic basalt black 997.2 C4S........ would be pretty awesome if it was a 997.2 GTS though.. (we'd be looking at 100k...)

and since we are looking at that price range...

splurge a few grand more for one of these:

^^ Priced in USD. Does that still make it a good deal?

I used to think those were cool too. Factory BBS wheels . Then I woke up and realized what a ticking time bomb rotaries are.

996 or 997 I would only get turbo or GT 991 C4S is phenomenal yet over 100k

Rs discount for my 993 anyone? I still have it. So many offers. Even an offer to trade for a black local E30 M3 and cash. Thats right westopher!

Not really, the turbos require rebuilds more often but since there's so few components it's pretty cheap compared to a piston engine.

I think 987.1 Caymans right now are the best fun car for the money. I was also looking for an S2000 last summer but couldn't find a clean/low k's for a good price. For the same price or a little more then these S2000 you can have a Cayman S. Which after driving many S2000's I think the Cayman is a lot more car for the money. (That's why i bought one!)

I feel like the Cayman is the black sheep of the family more so then the 996's. Everyone at my work makes fun of my Cayman and they all drive mini vans/SUV/eco boxes. Other car people/Porsche people when i tell them I have a Cayman they ask why didn't I buy a 911? So all this negativity about the cayman is bring down the prices.

Like this one; Porsche Cayman S Priced little high but if he takes closer to 30-32-ish it's a good deal. Ad says firm, but I have found nothing is firm when you have cash.
