The guy says it has an OEM hardtop and then doesn't post pictures?

even with the hardtop, ap2 is a much more desirable option than the ap1 imo

Agreed, AP2 is the much more superior car than the AP1 for sure, besides from the 9k redline that you keep hearing about. Hardtop is around 4k, so $22k for a yellow AP1? Probably the least desirable color next to Suzuka blue imo, so not a good buy

ApePee2 03-05-2016 08:27 AM

I remember back in the day, i bought my hardtop for 1500 usd . Boy have the prices jumped.

shiesty 03-05-2016 09:36 AM

He'd have a hard time getting $4k for a yellow hard top

flagella 03-05-2016 10:37 AM

lol wow ht is $4k now? I recall it was like $2.5k at most.

Been eyeing that one myself... don't really want a fixer upper though but considering how ridiculous E30 prices (and basically any other desirable car) have risen, might still be worth checking out. :considered:

bcbimmers member went to see it. full of water, previous accident damage, wouldn't start.

Nice parts - and maybe worth saving, but if you're looking for turn key auto-x goodness, this literally isn't it.

(IMO it would have sold in an hour if it was a good buy - going on 2 weeks now)

hmm wonder what kind of accident damage.... frame related?

fixing mechanical isnt an issue on these... there are pretty cheap parts for them

The Producer 03-05-2016 01:20 PM

i tried to find the archived message in the chatbox to see who went to look at it. I can ask.

EDIT: confirmed - car was extremely rough, interior molded. No start. Sure - they can all be saved. I've been down the tired E30 road before though - I'd rather spend a bit more for something cleaner

GabAlmighty 03-05-2016 03:41 PM

Not a car but car related. Pretty sweet price for a bunch of nice tools.

Looking for a E46 M3 and came across this. Seems like a good car. Low mileage and the sought after manual.

Oh, just noticed the guy posted the price in US although car is in Vancouver. Would've been nice at 18k CAD, I guess that's why it's not sold already.

2003.5 BMW e46 M3

From that engine pic, it's a non-turbo Spec-S

|<e|_ 03-05-2016 10:58 PM

It was posted as a spec - S a few pages back when the owner was trying to sell it.
