ahh - price drop to 32k firm from 34k firm. Guess not so firm after all.

I want this car

^^ Quick reminder that the 2008 cars are pre-facelift, and the facelifted 2009+ cars are quite a bit more desirable.

First thought that always comes to mind for me as well. Can't afford bushing replacements because spent all that money on BASS. That can be said for a lot of modified cars.
"new coilovers, car won't start, only needs new alternator and its mint!"
Meanwhile there is a nice milky substance in the coolant bottle.

I completely ignore any car like that. I see a lot of "just needs an OOP, will pass no problem!" If it'll pass so easily, or it just needs a basic part to be a running and driving car, the current owner should do it.

If you got buddies that'll pass it for you... I'd personally try and get it for a little less, depending how it checks out in person. There's a lot of variables with a vehicle like that.

imo, $20K would be a good deal. No one seems to like grey Porsche interiors, plus no one likes the eye yolk headlights. for $30K you can get a lower kms 996.2 2002+ for similar money maybe even a 2002+ C4s.

I've been looking at this one for a while but realistically wont buy until later this year or early 2017.

2007 Porsche Cayman S 2-Door Coupe, Excellent Condition, BC Local Car

Also used porsche prices hurt my head. The msrp on a base brand new cayman is 59k. Good luck finding one for cheaper than that. Stupid options lol

swfk 03-08-2016 10:32 AM

I went to see and drive the C2 with a friend that was interested about a month ago. It was tough to negotiate.

Key points to consider
- Kit seems to be a replica(?) Fitment is good but not perfect
- Bilstein coilovers
- Car needs a new cluster LCD
- IMS not done
- Serviced most or all of its life at Weissach.
