I came across this, the first two images show up in ads from the US (but on sites I've never heard of) that don't have any interior pics. Fake? 2001 Toyota 4Runner - Castanet Classifieds

I'd say fake based on price and kms alone, the pics kinda seal the deal IMO

Oem Porsche parts are worth big coin so it doesn't surprise me they would resell parts. I sold a broken 993 transmission to Europe with a hole in the casing and netted $1600 CAD

Knowing a few of the stories with the various shops around town, seems a lot of the well-known "Porsche gurus" in Vancouver are shady as fuck - Blitzkrieg, Weissach, Scan, ROTtec, etcetc.
It's an absolute shame and disgrace, really.

A prospective buyer requested I bring my 996 in for a PPI.
Weissach came back with a load of gospel and turned my $36K asking price 996 into a $2000 junker.
Test drive consisting of 7KM resulted in a lemon car of a PPI. Yeah, okay. Fuck you, Weissach. IMS/RMS was done two years ago with proof in their hands. PPI said it wasn't done.
The buyer still paid near asking price, so no thanks to them. Why give everyone a heart attack? Bunch of ass hats.

It's an absolute shame and disgrace, really. | SCAN is OK - just expensive. Juan's reputation is good. I haven't used Turn3 but plan to - recently attended tech day was awesome, and Jeff really knows his stuff. I've only ever been to Weissach for tours and events - never purchased from them. I do have a friend who I believe grossly overpaid for his car from them though. I remember when BK was a cool VW shop - things dun changed down there for sure.
Porsche owners in this town should consider joining PCA. The combined knowledge of members as well as the events and free tech days more than make up for the membership costs. Shops and work are frequently discussed and reviewed.

Talk to the aircooled guys. They'll tell you Scan is a scam.

As in my $300 PPI turned into $1500+ quote to redo the valves, change fluids, gaskets - all on a car I don't even own.

It doesn't sound cheap, but I'd welcome a quote of work needed on a car getting a PPI. CG did that for me with the eurospec I got inspected before I picked up my M3.
