If anyone is checking out the 2006 TL in bby that was for $9900 (couldn't find the link anymore), be aware that all four rims are pretty rashed (mostly on the passenger side) and the interior is beat (has some permanent dents from car seats). A few other small things, but otherwise great mechanically. PM me if you are interested in it and I can give more details.

That being said the mileage isn't bad, could this be a decent buy if the photos and records of the accident didn't turn out that bad?

dared3vil0 03-13-2016 10:40 AM

Anything can be a good buy if priced right, I don't think a rebuilt E46 M3 with chameleon paint probably hiding something, and no mention of subframe repairs for 15k is a good buy...

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, can't you get a clean title one with the repairs needed for 20k ish?

Car sold few months back in December on icbc salvage auction with then mileage of 151,341 Kilometers. So he's had it for less than 2k kilometers lol. Don't buy into his sob stories.

Back to the topic though, the damage doesn't look too bad. Airbags didn't pop and everything looks pretty minor. I'm surprised they wrote this off. Most likely due to the part cost being ridiculously expensive from the dealership icbc couldn't justify fixing it.

p.s: notice the crumpled hood and the missing bumper, explains the aftermarket bumper and a vinyl wrapped hood which is probably a different color underneath. If anyone's really interested in the car, pm me and ill give you more details

im pretty surprised they wrote it off.

im sure some "recycled" / used parts could easily repair this vehicle.

Groot 03-13-2016 12:59 PM

dared3vil0 03-13-2016 02:55 PM

I'm partial to the beige/caramel "old man" interiors myself... :megusta:

Common issues include interior rattles, torsen drive train not holding up to the power, and resale value

Acura Integra GSR 1997

Not as good of a deal as seen earlier, but that gives you a bit more wiggle room.

Referencing the 996 at Company of Cars, It's a hot mess. I went to look at it and got the history, 12 accidents, and it's ratty AF in real life. If it was $17K-$18K maybe it would be a decent project with some clean up.

Checked this one out.

Driver fender dent, ac needs recharge or leaking, both axle torn, wheel bearing noise. When go over bump, there is some sort of noise.

Friend brought the car for pre purchase inspection, after its done, the car wont start. Waited for like 2 hrs, then it starts fine again.
