toss a LS1 in it would be nice

XplicitLuder 03-22-2016 04:34 PM

some of those prices on that fb group seem atrocious... or am i just really off on how much the make and model of said car is worth.. lol

westopher 03-22-2016 04:43 PM

Remember buying internationally when the dollar isn't worth anything in a skyrocketing enthusiast car market, isn't exactly full of cheap cars for us.

thumper 03-22-2016 07:14 PM

paintwork lools so sketchy on that landrover, and the interior looks to be more complete inside the crates and boxes rather than being installed in the vehicle itself?

TouringTeg 03-22-2016 07:19 PM

1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Saanich, Victoria

Hard to find an air cooled 911 manual coupe in BC that a dealer hasn't got a hold of. Looks like sport seats from a 95 993. Fantastic seats!

Renthal 03-22-2016 07:27 PM

hey guys, i got a line on a year 2000 red s2000, original owner, 35,000km, summer driven, garaged in the winter, apparently its pretty damn clean, no accidents etc.. hasnt hit the market yet. he's asking 20k for it... screaming deal or just good deal?
i know little about these cars, just that the value of them is going up like crazy.

westopher 03-22-2016 07:40 PM

Sounds like on the better end of good deal. Its AP1 which is far less desirable according to people that know stuff (not me when it comes to Hondas) but thats insanely low milage. Nice that its not black or silver too.

EvoSpider 03-22-2016 08:11 PM

RARE VERY LOW KM ACURA TL TYPE S 2008 AUTO*

TouringTeg 03-22-2016 08:14 PM

x2 what West said

With that mileage that AP1 is a good deal even though it is less desirable than the AP2. A dealer would list it in the low 20s

Here is a comparable: https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5472620080.html

That is definitely a good price given the way things are going, u can easily flip it for a profit

^^that seller is asking a ridiculous price, didn't he want 34k before for it with all the riced out mods on it? When he saw that nobody wanted anything to do with that, he decided to change it back to stock as if it was never modded lol

dared3vil0 03-22-2016 10:16 PM

Maybe i'm crazy but if I was buying an S2000 I would want to purchase it stock, or as close to stock as possible...

same with some others: STi and Evos

flagella 03-23-2016 04:57 AM

Lol isn't that true with any used cars? Modifications never really add values to the car and potentially indicate how owners may have treated the car. The only exception is when the seller is a known member with tasteful mods and hardparked the car lol.

SpartanAir 03-23-2016 08:18 AM

If you have minimum $230k lying around, I'd say this is a good buy/investment.

westopher 03-23-2016 08:52 AM

In the imaginary world where I have a quarter of a mil for a countach, I'm holding out for LHD.
If you see the air-cooled porsche market, RHD even though much rarer kills value.

SpartanAir 03-23-2016 09:12 AM

^True, I do wish it was LHD. RHD can hurt value on cars that weren't largely built for RHD countries, Porsches are a good example.

But I'd still take it over a newer Lambo any day of the week. Ultimate street cred.

Also, notice the lack of nasty USDM 5mph bumpers.

Nabatron 03-23-2016 09:20 AM

^u wish it was LHD? are u in the market to buy one? lol

I love that Japan is one of (if not the) top tier countries for tech development, yet it looks like every single car auction has shared the same potato of a camera for the last 15+ years.

Yeah I know what you mean, I'm gonna see if I can take a look at it

TouringTeg 03-24-2016 08:20 AM

It kind of goes without saying but be cautious if buying a JDM auction car. Sight unseen is always a big risk. A friend purchased a 911 from Ray (Facebook posted on previous page). He also owns Rotec (Porsche wheels and seats).. Pm for details.
