Am I thinking too much when I read "No ICBC declarations" as there could be privately fixed incidents?

westopher 04-05-2016 05:30 PM

This isn't cheap, and its far away as fuck, but with all the people paying 30k for s2ks and type Rs, this seems like a very reasonable way to spend that 30k instead. Enjoy the drive back from so cal. With the mods its probably in the 360BHP range in a 3100lbs car. Nothing completely ridiculous, but enough to be a ton of fun.

Since my GT4 dreams are officially dead...

I know the regulars in here seem to spend all day searching the net for interesting cars, if someone can find me one of the following I would love you forever.

Really not looking to buy south of the border unless I have too for obvious reasons (exchange, import costs, and MPH cluster)

Must be E92 M3 6MT (NO DCT)

Lime Rock Edition - I've seen a few of these for sale, if it was local I would consider it. (eBay link BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Edition Super Charged | eBay

Dakar Yellow

Or - ideally, Santorini Blue (Only 20 for North America) THIS IS THE ONE I REALLY WANT, WILL BUY STATESIDE in a flash etc.

Doesn't tofu....?

westopher 04-05-2016 08:07 PM

No because DCT.
There is another one for sale as well and also DCT, and priced really high.

too bad you only want those colors...

I know someone with a white e92 6mt with 3 more years/160km of extended warranty + carbon roof for sale.

westopher 04-05-2016 08:16 PM

For such a good price too. I'd buy that one and just wrap it, but I don't have jasonturbo money.

Manual, Turbo'd, AWD wagon - This is the unicorn of Legacy GTs. Not sure of the kms, but if it really has a new motor, this a good deal given the rarity.

i called that guy last year, ditto on the 200k miles. seemed eager to sell it but the more he talked the less i wanted it.

I have a 6mt but not those colour as well...

200k miles on body, weird story on engine replacement.

I didn't ask about the engine replacement, but what story did he tell you?

Besides the mileage, what information did he tell you that steered you away from this car?

JDMDreams 04-05-2016 10:47 PM

I drove a outback version Mt and not sure if it's the car but it didn't pull as hard as I expected and had quite a few issues

swfk 04-05-2016 11:58 PM

$4500 for a fairly decent looking NA Miata, it's a 1.8 because it's the later NA. Already has roll bar and frame rails, both are must have items for Miatas.

Can't recall exacty. I just remember he told me to throw him an offer and I offered him like 5-6k. I wouldn't pay more than 7k with that mileage.

something for prospective e36 m3 buyers, or just a video in general on why pre purchase inspection so damn important when buying old used... (westopher might have more to say about this example in general):

The estoril m3 that guy bought above was about 6k below market value in the uk. When he fixes it he will have a perfect e36 for the price of a perfect e36.
Anyone on here who is ever serious about an e36 m3 can always message me for some guidance of what/where to check. It's not as good as a PPI but it can help you sort out cars wether they are even worth a PPI or not.

In general you can hardly find a mint condition E36, most of the problems in the video happened pretty much on every daily driven E36. I sold mine when it reached 8 years old, pretty lemon already even it was well taken care.
