or an infiniti fx45 but they are hard to find.

missed out on that sweet 545i manual tranny a couple weeks ago :(
something along those lines

Gotta ask, why would you want the V8 over the V6 on the 1st gen FX35?

The performance of the V8 over the v6 is negligible after you account for the extra weight, their harder to find, and more expensive, and gas mileage is appalling.

I looked at both and ended up seeking out a v6 on purpose. Not to mention parts for the v6 are plentiful because of the G35 and 350z guys running around.

Manual, too bad its not a 540.

I don't think there are factory manual 540 tourings in NA - just swaps.

Super cool car. Wish it was the fall and I could justify it as a ski wagon.

I'm getting rid of our 2011 Odyssey because it's a pain in the ass. We've had nothing but issues with it. The problem with Honda, is that they don't believe that their cars will have issues, so the warranty has been a nightmare.
  • They finally fixed the oil pan leak. It took two trips to the dealer to prove it was actually leaking. Then another two trips because they didn't fix it right hte first time.
  • My power steering pump has leaked since about 20,000km, and they refuse to fix it under warranty. Instead, they offered me a "good deal" on parts and labor.
  • The battery light is on far too often. There was a recall on this issue. All they did was reflash the ecu to trigger the light at a lower voltage.

There were some other issues too that I won't get into. But the bottom line is that I'm not a Honda guy anymore.

That's a rip. There's one for $9500, albeit double the kms. Still though I don't think those are worth more than 15k and those mods aren't exactly premium either

Not sure I'd call it a good buy at $22K for a 13 year old C class. He talks about it's originality but it's a car dripping with mods? If you have a hankering for some AMG performance and some AMG repair bills to go with it, why not pull this out of the US? You could land this in Canada for $22K (with exchange, RIV, OOP inspection, 6% duty all factored into that price).

asian_XL 04-29-2016 09:55 PM

Driving it only 1000km per year? The condition doesnt look bad at all

Jmac 04-29-2016 10:19 PM

Maybe it's just me but $10k seems pretty steep given it's a 318i with aftermarket wheels despite the condition and mileage.

I could see maybe 5 years from now when you could throw collector plates on it (can't remember if you need OEM wheels or not).

Curious as to which dealer this is as well.

My GF's father has two newer Honda's and he's constantly said that dealing with the service department at two different dealers has been an absolute nightmare.

He's always said that they never acknowledge problems or pass them off as "normal operation" or "not bad enough to warrant replacing", and that trying to get any work done under warranty is a headache. Not to mention they tried to sell him a timing belt / water pump job at 70k, even though I told him that the timing belt for his car was good for 160k / 7 years.

He complained about abnormal shifting from 1st to 2nd off the line numerously (yes V6 auto) and it was the fourth or fifth trip where the dealer finally acknowledged that it was an issue and that they *just* found a TSB for an update, an update that apparently had been out for nearly two years according to a Honda parts advisor that my co-worker knows..

He started bringing his car to my dealer once his warranty expired :fuckthatshit:

Have had friends complain about Honda service as well lol

I think he means any car that is v8 for 10g and under, then started talking about fx35/45.
