I looked at both and ended up seeking out a v6 on purpose. Not to mention parts for the v6 are plentiful because of the G35 and 350z guys running around. | To be honest I dont know much about the FX's, I was looking for the performance/sound of a V8, but if its pretty close i'll check out the fx35's. I have a QX4 now and i think they are similar motors as the 35? was just looking for a lil more power.
I dont drive that much, a couple blocks to work so the gas mileage isnt a huge deal breaker for me, i would rather have the smile factor of a throaty v8!
i like this one, but it has a bubbling dashboard and is out of warranty. apparently its big money to replace. http://www.usedvictoria.com/classifi...-FX45_27256340 |

I'd go straight to a Ford 302 since I'm lazy, unless an E36 swap is really easy.

Much like meme405 said, the power benefit of the V8 is marginal.

The owner is a multi millionaire, but every year the employees HAVE TO put money into a fund to buy him a nice Xmas present. A few years back they bought him a couple thousand dollar TV. Again, he is a multi millionaire who could easily afford to buy himself the finer things in life. Instead, he prefers if his employees, many of whom are paycheck to paycheck, buy him a present. Its a joke.
I refuse to go there anymore. In fact, Im trading the van in for a Toyota Highlander soon, and wont be buying another Honda again.

The owner is a retarded douchenozzle, there's no question, but I certainly hope you had a better reason than that. There are other dealers ya know

It took two trips to the dealer to prove it was actually leaking. Then another two trips because they didn't fix it right hte first time.
- My power steering pump has leaked since about 20,000km, and they refuse to fix it under warranty. Instead, they offered me a "good deal" on parts and labor.
- The battery light is on far too often. There was a recall on this issue. All they did was reflash the ecu to trigger the light at a lower voltage.
There were some other issues too that I won't get into. But the bottom line is that I'm not a Honda guy anymore. | Here you go DD.

Much like meme405 said, the power benefit of the V8 is marginal. | HP isn't always everything. There is a big torque difference between the V6 and V8. The 35 puts out 270 ft lbs of torque compared to the 45's 330ft lbs. That would make quite the difference off the line.
