*Chain... and the plastic tensioner is garbage on those engines so they let go with great frequency and it's an interference engine so... yah. Good on him for doing it for age regardless of mileage if that's what he had done. The rimming belt sounds a bit kinky though.

I don't know why I said belt, I meant to say chain but the main point was the tensioner breaks and that's what needs to be done. I have one.

Wouldn't bother. The owner says there are at least 4-5 parties coming out. It's going to be a bidding war. I've been through this a few times as a buyer and seller. It isn't what you want to get into and isn't worth your time.

And no, I'm not saying this to scare you guys off. Just expect to pay a lot more than what it's posted for and possibly walk away empty handed with time wasted. :toot:

Just do a bit of research and think of the highest price you'd pay. Throw the owner an offer, if no, then forget it.
