2005 Volvo V50 Wagon 5spd!

Not sure if it's good buy or not, but it's a manual wagon

If you are interested in something like this, the one you posted has the non-turbo engine pumping out 168hp. There is a version with the T5 engine that gets 218hp with or without AWD, eg. 2005 Volvo V50 AWD T5 Manual 6 Speed

2.4i lacks a bit of power, but it's a nice drive. If the owner hasn't done it already, the timing belt is due @ 192k KMs. Price seems to be about right, maybe slightly on the higher side.

One thing to look out for if anyone is buying is the ambient temperature sensor goes whack quite often. Something about the sensor being in a bad place / connectors vulnerable to water.

^ No mileage posted so i'm assuming high as fuck, but looks pretty clean, don't know if i'd pay that much for the 1st year s2k though, when you can have ap2 for that price.

The NFR has 108,000. Looks quite clean. Too bad it has plastic rear window. Priced a little on the high side still.

Why is this such a hot deal - aren't you guys concerned about the unknown mileage?

Ad is now deleted. It looked like a mint body condition eg with no visible sign of rust. I think that along is worth the asking price. Beside it's a old Honda who care about the odometer.

about the hot deal- if its a healthy and clean as it looks, i find it's worth it, cheap fun car.

as for mileage- When I see a car that old, I don't really put much attention to the mileage, mostly care about the general state of the car... i find that mileage helps figure out on newer cars (<10yrs) what repairs are coming up, wheel bearings/axles/tranny/..., but a car that old it's probably already been done. do a good inspection, that's it. that's just me

2008 VW r32

This R32 falls into the not a great deal on paper deals, but I went to check it out and it's immaculate - like showroom clean. Mature enthusiast owner, all the right mods for a great daily driver. I'm just not ready to give up the 3rd pedal or I'd have bought it on the spot. Still thinking I should do it, just to try it out for a few months.

So, great deal? not sure. Great value though.

Rare one but that's pretty $$$ at, $21K. For that, you can get a '12 GTI.

westopher 05-17-2016 09:49 PM

After owning an e36 you are NOT going to enjoy a mk5. My gti was a great car, but the m3 is at least 10x the fun. I'd consider that car if it was 3-4k cheaper and I needed a fun car to drive year round, and much more often than I do.

Acura TSX

EDIT: Sorry, it stated "manual" in description at first. It actually has an automatic transmission.

Which BMW is 'reliable'?

Z3guy 05-18-2016 09:21 AM

^ anyone that has been maintained properly with quality parts and fluid...what a dumbass question.

If only it was that easy.

:lol

Z3guy 05-18-2016 09:45 AM

^ it has worked for me :) .....than again most people who complained about BMW's being unreliable are the one's buying a "good deal" BMW from a Kingsway dealer or have high kms. Personally imo, BMW's over 80K kms is when most problems start happening.....

frozen 05-18-2016 10:05 AM

Lol, the truth is BMW isn't reliable relative to Japanese cars. It's all relative. Some ppl are prob fine with fixing things here and there over time. Personally I can't understand why anyone would even consider buying a used German cars that are out of warranty. If you are poor to buy one new, you are probably too poor afford maintenance on a used one.

JHatta 05-18-2016 10:17 AM

Will trade mother-in-law for E30 M3
