I checked out the 850i 6spd. It needs a lot of work cosmetically and mechanically in addition to fixing the engine.

Honestly, I don't think the price is that low...

At the end of the day, it is a 21 yr/old car, however having just over 100k kms, is definitely pretty rare (not to mention a 5spd sedan). I just wish there were more pics. As long as it's in decent shape, no rust, and has been serviced properly, this will be a great deal for someone... assuming you can get it for a bit lower than asking

Akinari 05-23-2016 11:39 PM

If it's mechanically sound, seems like a good buy?

If it was a different color combo it'd be worth more honestly. I picked up my gfs DA with 123k for 1400 and that was mint too. It really depends on the car

You'd think with all the mods done to it he would get the subframe reinforced at least. I've been looking at e46 m3's and a lot of them don't have it done

instead of putting important usable information just put up lies. great marketing idea!

tofu1413 05-24-2016 11:39 AM

its a great motor that responds well to bolt ons... but not sure if bolt ons alone can push the thing to 800.

im guessing its hovering around 550hp or so... and 600lb/ft of torques.

thumper 05-24-2016 12:32 PM

The seller claims to have proof... someone ask for it so that we can decide.

It could have a bunch of little "Sneaky Pete's" hidden in the passenger seat cushion for all we know ;)

Manic! 05-24-2016 12:50 PM

Anyone e-mail him for proof?

Went to take a look at it today. Older gentlemen, appears forthcoming with information. Claims purchased a new 2nd vehicle to replace this one. They already had a newer car so this integra sat. When asked, in any given week, how often will you drive it? His answer was "zero".

Green on beige interior. Multiple dings and dents throughout but no rust. All power options. Key entry - driver side does NOT unlock all doors but passenger side can unlock all doors.

AC is on the way out - may require recharge?

Drives and pulls to the left. Conveniently had an accident to the left front fender and doesn't have the repair estimate and unknown repair amounts. Power delivery is linear and consistent, clutch feels good.

Sparse service records from Burrard Acura. Oil change hasn't been done in a year or two. Timing belt done at 90k in 2009. It currently sits at 104k so that gives you an idea of how much this car sits.

If you're serious about it, obviously a car proof is in order to find out more about this accident, as well as a PPI. It could be something as simple as needing an alignment, or the tie rods/suspension parts/etc were bent from the accident.

Seeing as the timing belt was done not that long ago, did they replace the water pump as well? If not, did they at least inspect it and note that they did on the invoce? Good thing about these motors is that they're workhorses. It won't take much to get it back into shape. Fresh fluids, plugs, cap/rotor, fuel filter, etc, you're set. Plus those things are super easy to do yourself, should you want to.

Could be a good opportunity to grab this thing for much less than asking, given the small issues you mentioned.

It really isn't that expensive to reinforce. Plus this issue is least common on the convertibles than the coupes. Just inspect it well and you can probably knock off a few dollars if they haven't been done.
