| 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS GC8 Sedan Quote:
$3500 - I've already put $8k into it this spring to fix it up (I'm stupid and I love Subarus), so I'm taking a loss. Consider the price firm.
MY00 GC6 5MT RS sedan (Canadian), Blue Ridge Pearl
power windows, doors, and sunroof (no leaks)
car: 223,000 km (combination city and highway)
engine: 113,000 km (swapped in from a salvage yard a few months ago)
clean title, vindetector history report available upon request
Selling because I upgraded
full service records since I bought it in Feb. 2005
got roughly 22mpg (10.7 L /100km) before swapping the block
15" Subaru aluminum w/ Nokian WR G3 (100%)
ABS, sunroof, AC, PW
debadged
Recent replacements:
- salvaged engine block w/ 113k on it
- all new seals & gaskets (intake/exh, rear main, oil pan, valve cover)
- new timing belt, tensioner, idlers, and water pump
- new knock sensor
- new front and rear O2 sensors
- new clutch & bearings
- flywheel machined
- new battery
- newish front and rear cats
- new centre pipe
- new all four shifter bushings
- new engine mounts
- new tranny mount (brand new but throttle on/off still feels like a soft mount...)
- new both headlights
- new WRG3 tires (~95%)
- shocks & springs (from a used STi - you'll want to re-grease these)
- calipers (replaced with a used set in great condition)
Upgrades:
- (pink) STi struts and springs (you'll want to have them re-greased though)
- calipers and hubs have been painted (hi-temp black)
- SS lines
- Scoobysport (the original version, but it was torched off and re-welded by an idiot at the exhaust shop for compliance when brought from Alberta)
- short shift, momo knob
- momo pedals
- aftermarket (basic w/ MP3) stereo
- Ravelco installed
- K&N air filter
- DIY grounding
Old age issues:
- radiator appears to be in great shape, thankfully
- typical quarter panel rust spots have been repaired (cut-out and bondo)
- missing fog lights
- weak rear window motors
- sometimes weak sunroof motor
- pinhole leak at bottom of rear window
- small paint chips, clearcoat peeling off scoop, some bad touchups
- replacement board under the trunk carpet
- windshield has no cracks but a couple tiny chips and a fair bit of roughness
- interior is in great shape
- sizeable dent behind driver front wheel while parked (very recently, while the car was awaiting engine repair)
- original tranny jammed several years ago and was replaced with a salvage tranny (which had 87,000km)
| Another consideration for the GC8 shopper

inspect it closely. ex-alberta car with body damage and rust history (the bondo part worries me) and a known interior water leak that hasn't been fixed are cause for concern.

not sure if this is a real ad, because of the mph gauge cluster and generic USA neighborhood in the background...

Stupid statement from the seller, but the performance is irrelevant. Same can be said for many older p cars that cost 100k-250k. Only 500 22B's were made, certainly a collector's car. That car will only appreciate in the years to come.

i just assumed what the seller said in the description (ie: "a-spec package") meant wheels and kit...
i never knew about the lights in the spoiler! what do they do? are they just running lights or turn signals?
