Subaru guys are weird sometimes, years back I knew a guy that wanted to swap to a wingless trunk and put base model badges on it to be more "sleeper"

Checked this out couple years back, it was listed for $1000. It had some rust starting on the door, and looked like he fixed it. Also needed a suspension refresh, didn't buy it because it drove like shit. Gearbox felt really bad, engine ran okay though.

2000 HONDA Civic EX Manual Great Car Negotiable

For Sale 2000 Honda Civic EX Manual

This is a very great car. Low mileage. Nothing to fix. Everything works, A/C, FM, sunroof, anti theft immobilizer, all power window, locks, keyless entry. Clean in and out. Just a little of dent at the right side, but it does not affect the performance of the Car. The shock is still good. Transmission is good, engine is good. Good for daily driving. Save on Gas.

All in All, Car is perfectly running good condition. Price is still negotiable, but no low ballers please.

171355 km mileage

2001 Honda Prelude Base - Electron Blue - manual - obo

- mismatched door lock and ignition cylinder?
- ABS relay > can this be a troublesome fix?
- didn't do a "simple fix" for the windshield nozzles?

Other than the items above, what else do you guys recommend looking at?

Not craigslist, and I'm not sure it's a good buy, but it's a fast NSX that breaks necks on the daily.

Washer nozzle is super easy fix, it's like 2 plugs and a tube takes like 15 mins :lawl:
Check if valve cover is leaky, a lot of the h22s leak there if it hasn't been serviced before. The rear wheel arches also have a tiny bit of rust on them usually from the black guard thing Honda puts on there that rubs grit into the paint. Check rear tails if they're leaky as well as sunroof. Usual stuff with the trans, make sure it doesn't grind in 3Rd - super common on the ludes. Also check if when timing belt was done, if they did a swap from the auto tensioner to manual(not really a big deal, but auto tensioner fail around 250ks usually on them). Overall they're pretty simple cars, not too many problems tbh.

Nice overall, but I never understood those later Saabs with the weird chrome 'mascara' around the headlights. might be kinda neat if you vinyl wrapped that chrome in black...

With any 5th gen Prelude make sure they have the key with the red plastic, you need that to program any replacement keys without having to pay out the ass. I'm curious how replacing the ignition cylinder with a different one was the easiest option, since the keys are paired to the ECU you'd either need to swap the ECU as well or possibly do some weird stuff to try and pair the new key to the ECU without being able to use the programming key.

SpeedStars 07-04-2016 09:49 PM

^ Paper clip method + new cylinder? also, if u don't have the red key it's like $450 for a new set with the red key. Don't ask how I know :okay:

underscore 07-04-2016 10:07 PM

What's the paper clip method? My best guess is one of the original keys is taped inside the column and they're just using a plain jane key for the ignition.
