Could be a good buy if the title is actually CLEAN

I noticed on some CL ads, the owner will indicate the title as rebuilt but will talk about the rebuilt motor, transmission, rear end etc. which makes me wonder if they are confused as to what a Rebuilt Title actually means?

This could be one of those but who knows? Worth a look.

seems like hes explaining the rebuild with this sentence.

Looking around for a work truck or van (hopefully a truck lol too young for a van), easy on gas (4 cylinder?) and easy to work on and find parts. Something cheap so i guess it will be an older truck. Preferably manual. I know nothing about these type of vehicle, what models should look out for?

Almost 10 years ago when I first owned a used 04 s2k, that was the price. Just to give you an idea when you say cheap lol. I guess it's not THAT terrible of a deal compared to some other s2ks posted these days.

this was posted as a cheap buy several pages back, listed as clean title... but someone else put this up recently saying otherwise:

Rebuilt title, not a clean title

Broken glass passenger side front window $400 in 2012

IS 300 was in a hit and run on the passenger side rear wheel $4000 in damage in 2014

Also rebuilt title from ICBC. Accident from driver side rear wheel, suspension damage. Over $5000 in damage, including broken rear axle, broken rear cross-member, frame damage, broken wheel. Current owner claims that there was only $400 in damage

Current owner bought from ICBC salvage auction, trying to make a quick buck by flipping it

Check underneath rear of car for full damage details

BUYER BEWARE

Need to haul large electronic and drape around. Aka need to have a box with water proof cover. But also would like to have the option to remove the canopy to haul wood and other misc object. Don't really care about the 2wd awd. Preferably fwd so I have a easier time in the snow?

LOL not cheap by any means, but that's the going rate or market rate nowadays, it's almost like the housing market haha. You know it's inflated, but if you don't buy in now it might keep going up again. I'm almost positive something has to be wrong eith that car if it hasn't been sold in that long

not sure what "large electronic and drape" means... trying to find out what bed length you'll need.

fwd will mean some kind of minivan.

price range?

Don't think that z4m has before. I still can't believe they're holding their value as good as they are, for what is essentially a rebodied E46 M3 with no back seat. Have driven a couple, great cars, but 40k great? I'll pass for a 25k E46 M3 anyday

Trucks are either gonna be RWD or 4WD, if you want traction in the snow get good winter tires, that's more important than your drivetrain.

Ah I see the longest piece of equipment I will be carrying around all time is 8ft poles. Hope that help narrow it down.

Edit: price range in looking to spent no more than 5g but hopefully 3G and under. I don't know how feasible that is.

a 8ft bed means full size... unless you want your load sticking out from the canopy or hanging out of the liftgate?

i can't think of any fwd van that has that kind of length...

Sticking out of the canopy is fine I think I will be able to strap it down. been checking out those jdm mini trucks. Seems really interesting. Their bed is 6ft I think? But I never seen one with canopy.

those small kei trucks tend to use canvas canopy to cover the load bed...

Cool! Kei trucks really appeals to me, it's jdm, manual and super easy on gas it's still small enough to fit in most places easily. How easy are they to find parts for if and when they break? Are the part basically only avaialble to k truck dealers? All the kei truck I see just have a bed with out the frame on top on it that would let me use canvas canopy to cover the load? Is canvas canopy is the only option? Would be ok in light rain but nothing more than that

Considering only ~1800 Z4M coupes were sold in NA vs ~26K E46 coupes, they're definitely alot rarer. $40k seems inflated but I can understand why the price difference - the driving experience is also outstanding with these earlier model M cars.
