Stop misinforming and spreading false facts please.

Sorry for not making it clear but I should have clarified the e30 m3 market.
These cars are almost as hot as the 993 in terms of demand and desirability and appreciation value.

westopher 08-03-2014 02:15 PM

as I said, E30. that includes E30 M3 as well as Im currently on that topic.

whoever bought that E30 M3 for 60k was not smart. The current market for that car, as westopher has said earlier is around the 30-40 mark for an identical unit.

color choices have nothing to do with E30 M3 prices. they all hold the same value.

Just stop misinforming and spreading false facts about the E30 M3 market when its obvious you don't know about it before we are all more than happy to pm a mod to ban you from this thread.

No PM needed. :troll:

He gets two weeks to think about how stupid he is.

The cars seeing the most appreciation right now seem to be 964, 993, E30 M3 and maybe NSX.

Check out this 964 manual coupe for 25k in Summerland posted on rennlist. Salvage title for theft recovery. Ce light.

1991 PORSCHE 964.

Very clean 2000 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG

When I see someone who cant even write an ad like someone who has ever gone to any school in their entire life, thinking they can understand what it takes to maintain a car like that is terribly difficult to believe.
Also I don't think e30 m3s are appreciating at near the rate as people think they are. They have been mindblowingly expensive for the last several years. Good quality drivers can still be found in the 25-30k range, as they have been for at least the last couple years. Lots of crazy garage queens have been popping up lately and skewing the perception of prices. 993s on the other hand...... I just don't understand why I bought real estate when I was younger instead of several 993s. My crystal ball wasn't working.

not a good buy, but a top notch ad.

E30 M3's were at an all time low back in 08' ish... just like 964...

those cars could be had in average shape for 15k or so.. maybe less :seriously:

TouringTeg 08-04-2014 06:58 AM

Wish I had bought one of each in 08.

Even last yr there were 3 964 coupes for sale in van around 25k. Now 25k gets you a theft recovery, check engine light for sale by a guy who can't figure out how to turn his caps lock off.

dared3vil0 08-04-2014 08:37 AM

In 6 years i wonder what we're going to say "Wish i had bought one of each in '14."...

These cars will drop again. The stock market is at an all time high, people are borrowing to much and we are sitting on top of another major bubble. It's a bit selfish to hope the stock market crashes so I can get a good deal on an e30 but hey, I really fuckin want an e30. The toys are the first thing that have to go when people get nervous money wise.

Which is why, contrary to the investor/concours guys, I'll keep driving my 911 and having the time of my life rather than having it sit in a dark garage under a blanket for eternity.

tofu1413 08-04-2014 12:02 PM

car more likely to leak more oil if not driven!

jasonturbo 08-04-2014 01:05 PM

Posting that same 964 up again lol

1991 PORSCHE 964.

#sotempted :( Assuming the owner isn't a complete retard and the car doesn't have any terrible stories, a clean 964 will probably never get any cheaper than that.

Edit: I cracked and emailed him...

twitchyzero 08-04-2014 01:16 PM

don't you haz GT3 already? sells a clean 6spd E46 M3 w/ CSL parts for a 200k rebuilt Porsche

Ummm but I thought we already confirmed the owner is a retard and the car does have stories, hence a rebuilt title. It still could be a decent way to get in to a 964, but a car with a salvage is never going to climb in value like the others will. It seems like he doesn't even know the history of the car. "Salvage due to a theft I was told." I'd want to confirm shit like that if I were him haha.

2002 Mercedes S55 AMG

Rebuilt due to theft vs accident very different issues IMO. I wouldn't be buying it for the sake of an appreciating collectible, I would be buying it to drive and enjoy :) That's a porsche you won't feel guilty driving in the rain etc.

Besides, I need to save some skrilla for the other car I am currently looking at ;)

I love older Mercs, but the one thing that always puts me off is the center console stack. God, that's hideous.

Thats good then. I'd be just fine with a car with stories because I wouldn't feel too bad about flogging it, and any car I buy I plan to put way too many kms on it to make it an appreciating collectable. I'll need to test drive two of your cars now if you pick it up haha.
