No, those were the ones found on the V6 accords/ CL/ TL/ RL from the previous generation (3.0-3.2L)

6o4__boi 09-08-2016 01:56 PM

iirc they've been known to have a myriad of electronic-related issues though

My father inlaw rolled over 400k a few weeks back in his. Has had 0 issues except fuel consumption

meme405 09-08-2016 03:31 PM

Interesting, I'm going to check out another car tonight, but I might check that one out. Not exactly a car I was looking for, but I've always liked those RL's.

Thanks for the input people.

It seems like 08's to 13's all have the same common issues if you're talking about the rod bearings and throttle actuators which are the only big issues. I wouldn't say they're more prone to 2008's. That red E92 is actually a decent buy if it checks out clean.

Holy shit! I've always loved these things. They always catch my eye on the road even though they're just a boxy Volvo. Pretty cool.

From Wiki:

Quote:

The B280F at this point had roughly 150 hp (110 kW), but the car itself was nearly 3,400 lb (1,500 kg). To address concerns about performance, Volvo introduced the B230FT+; a B230FT with Volvo's Turbo+ boost controller, increasing the engine output to 175 hp (130 kW). The following model year saw it increase to 188 hp (140 kW). In Italy, later 780s were available with the B204GT. This was a 16 valve turbo motor producing 200 hp (150 kW). In the car's final year, 1991, it was rebadged simply as "Coupé". At this point, the car came only in turbo guise.
Looks like the 1991 is the Unicorn. 200hp turbo :notbad:

Yea that ones been through a lot of sketchy dealers, reason I didn't even go and look at it period. As momma once said, if it's too good to be true it usually is, Something about it just scares me, and clearly a lot of other people too
