does he have to crawl out of the passenger door to get out of the car after parking it like that?

This isn't strictly a comment about this particular EM2 shown above, but as a previous owner of an ES1 Civic, I am highly skeptical of any 01-03 EM2 / ES1 Civics. Honda really didn't do a good job on those years of the car, and there are numerous common and well known problems with them. To just name a few, you have failing engine mounts, weak front shocks, problematic air bag sensors, problematic seat belt buckles, slipping automatic transmissions, etc. These problems didn't get fixed until the 04 facelift, and the 04-05 cars are very solid.
Personally, unless the price reflects this significantly poorer reliability, I'd stay away from the 01-03 Civics in general, and opt for the 04-05 cars instead.
The 01-03 models are still pretty decent in reliability
My parents had an 01 sedan. The only issue that came up repeatedly was the daytime running lights issue. Everything else was pretty good
It wasn't as nice and reliable as the 96-00 EK series though
^
I remember lusting over one of those back in 1998. I had my 92 Si with b16a2 swap. It took a lot of effort to get that engine in my Si, and these guys were simply buying them from the dealership.
haha my wife drives an 02 Civic that has pretty much all of those issues named above
DRL issues (which turned out to be a broken turn signal unit...like how the fuck does that even break?!)
Slipping tranny
Blown front shocks that have since been replaced but now makes hollow knocking sounds when she goes over bumps
Oil leaks around valve cover/cam seal that always seems to stick around no matter what i try
Air bag sensors that were addressed by a recall
it's running well as a daily driver for her but had i known that 01-03 were problematic when we were looking, we would've gone for a different one

Thoughts on the price?
It says 2.5 RS but the front bumper doesn't have the massive
Round fog lamps. Or is that only for JDM ones or coupe models
Need it as a second family vehicle 2001 Impreza 2.5 RS GC8 5 Speed

i think the big fog lights were a USDM thing in north america, and didn't pass the bumper requirements in canada so we didn't get them here as an oem part.

Large fogs were EU / JDM only. The RS'es that were seen around town back them had JDM front bumpers retro fitted (most notably Richmond Subaru did quite a few of them back in the day)

Higher Km, but four door, sport pkg, 5 sp, and cloth seats!

Doug DeMuro drove one in one of his latest videos and was giddy as a schoolgirl about it. The dealer that loaned it to him was asking US$799K, this one for CDN$849K is a bargain in comparison.

I saw one the other day. Drooling over it. I think I've only seen 2 in my lifetime.
I saw it outside the Vancouver flea market like right across the Porsche dealership. I wish had $850k to spare...
nice, but the ad says "v-tech" and that just bothers me... not sure what is going on with the rear carpeting over the seatbacks though, and the missing parcel shelf. makes me wonder if it had some sort of aftermarket stereo setup in it once before... watch out for holes and sketchy wiring.

^ Just noticed the after market pedals as well. It is a pain when kids have messed with a car and it has to be de-modded. Big plus that it has the original blades though.
