A tad off-topic, as I had no luck with searching by key-word on here.... But how do you guys feel about Velocity? Stumbled upon their craigslist ads and was intrigued.
I have experienced buying / importing a car from Japan first-hand as my friends do it all the time, so yes I can do it myself.
What is appealing to me is that the car is already here and "inspected" (I've heard sketchy things...) & I test drove the car (Instantly falling in love with it). This alone is worth the roughly $1500 difference between me importing a simular car and what they are selling theirs for.
Ps. since I fell in love with one of their cars I am selling the Subaru DL asap.

I think most people have had some pretty shitty experience with Velocity. If you know what you're looking at, then you might have a good shot. But their "warranties" and "inspections" basically mean nothing.

I guess it depends on the car as well, the one I'm looking at isn't one of their many greasy Subaru's. I test-drove the car out of the lot and was able to get more intimate with it ( ) and all looked well. It braked. It accelerated. It has 38k kms.. and it's a Honda.
To contribute here is a apparently rust free CB Accord, Looks to be a good buy. http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/pml/cto/5813178587.html

Also, I know a number of people who've had nothing but issues after picking up a car off of them. As the saying goes "good things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't good"

A matter of taste, i find the spyder a wee bit more special, as its less practical.
It is a toy car afterall! (That tent like roof sucks... but that chopped windshield and the hump behind the rear seats looks pretty cool)

IMO that colour doesn't look that great in pictures but is fine in person.
Many Cayman R cars for sale seem to be with sport seats, rather than the sport buckets. My preference is the sport buckets, but those are like unicorns!
