Not sure if you have read the ad before it was flagged but they clearly stated they had just bought the car to use for the winter but plans changed thus selling

He paid less than asking price too, I fired him a message right away. 190k second owner (first owner was like a week ago lol) just needs a clutch apparently. He's gonna do that and keep it now

A tad off-topic, as I had no luck with searching by key-word on here.... But how do you guys feel about Velocity? Stumbled upon their craigslist ads and was intrigued.

I have experienced buying / importing a car from Japan first-hand as my friends do it all the time, so yes I can do it myself.

What is appealing to me is that the car is already here and "inspected" (I've heard sketchy things...) & I test drove the car (Instantly falling in love with it). This alone is worth the roughly $1500 difference between me importing a simular car and what they are selling theirs for.

Ps. since I fell in love with one of their cars I am selling the Subaru DL asap.

I think most people have had some pretty shitty experience with Velocity. If you know what you're looking at, then you might have a good shot. But their "warranties" and "inspections" basically mean nothing.

I see. Like most used car lot dealers... I doubt the "complimentary warranties" mean dick.

I guess it depends on the car as well, the one I'm looking at isn't one of their many greasy Subaru's. I test-drove the car out of the lot and was able to get more intimate with it () and all looked well. It braked. It accelerated. It has 38k kms.. and it's a Honda.

To contribute here is a apparently rust free CB Accord, Looks to be a good buy.

1992 honda accord
Speaking as someone who imports JDM, I wouldn't touch 80% of the cars they have on the lot(or even put a bid on them when they come up for auction)

Also, I know a number of people who've had nothing but issues after picking up a car off of them. As the saying goes "good things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't good"

As a Miata driver, I'm gonna say this -- convertibles suck.

Regardless of generation, I've always found the Cayman to be the hotter looker than the Boxster.

There's one for sale locally. I don't think he advertises it much though. Red, low km, no accidents etc

A matter of taste, i find the spyder a wee bit more special, as its less practical.

It is a toy car afterall! (That tent like roof sucks... but that chopped windshield and the hump behind the rear seats looks pretty cool)

Ditto what tofu said. I almost went to check this car out, as I had been looking for an R for a long time (and had seen this specific car on sale for a long while), but one popped up at Urban Garage recently with just over 30k kms so I pulled the trigger on that one.

IMO that colour doesn't look that great in pictures but is fine in person.

Many Cayman R cars for sale seem to be with sport seats, rather than the sport buckets. My preference is the sport buckets, but those are like unicorns!
