I think the car has got a few hick ups like something with the radio
Transmission was done under warranty. Pretty hard to find a 16 year old vehicle original owner and never serviced anywhere but the dealer.

still worrisome. on a side note... mister transmission in burnaby has acura TL's like this one in their service loaner fleet. i guess they were given up by customers who dragged them in with dead transmissions and could not afford the repairs :o

oddly enough, these dont actually suffer from the massive honda transmission issues. its the ones from 02-06 you have to worry about.

- Clean title, local BC car, no rust, no accidents over $5,000
- 3rd owner, non-smoker
- Comes with both summer and winter and tires and wheels, both @ 80%
- Brakes @ 95%

Presented for sale is a 2003 E39 BMW M5 in Titanium Silver on black leather interior with aluminum trim, a classic Bavarian colour combination that perfectly suits the car's handsome, timeless lines. It is a clean-titled, local BC car (VIN WBSDE93413CF93873) originally purchased from The BMW Store in Vancouver. I am the 3rd owner and the car is now at 176,000 kms and ready to be enjoyed for many more to come by the next owner.

I've moved into a place where I no longer have the space for it but am reluctant to see it go, so please understand that it's equally important to me as the final selling price that the car goes to the right home. Being that it is a facelifted, final production year E39 M5, it's very likely that the buyer will be able to recoup the purchase price if not more in the future . . . that is, if they're even willing to part ways with it then.

If you've been searching for an E39 M5, you should already know its storied pedigree; if not, please read about it at BMW M Registry - FAQ E39 M5 before enquiring.

Without a doubt, what separates this particular example from all others is the level of documentation included, from the original sales invoice onwards. A summary spreadsheet can be sent to serious potential buyers.

As for the car itself, it is essentially stock with minor modifications primarily focused on reliability:

- RK/CSF all-aluminum radiator (OE BMW radiators are notorious for plastic end tanks failing)
- OE power steering cooler
- OE brake cooling ducts
- Squared wheel setup using 18" x 9.5" BMW Style 65 rear wheels at all four corners to enable front-to-rear tire rotations (currently Michelin Pilot Super Sports @ 80%) to extend tire life. The BMW Style 65 front wheels as well as a full set of BMW Style 66 wheels with General Altimax Arctic winter tires @ 80% are also included.
- Muffler delete (the sound is absolutely intoxicating!)
- MediaBridge adapter to update the factory audio system with iPhone integration, Bluetooth, USB, and aux-in

Most recent maintenance includes:

- Oil, transmission, differential fluid 5 months ago
- Power steering hoses and fluid 5 months
- All-aluminum radiator and coolant 1 month ago
- Brake pads and fluid 1 month ago

Probably because no one who's in the market for a hella clean gsr would bother looking at one with rust. Kind of a shame

Not sure why would they post a pic with the low coolant light on. Probably burns a shitload of oil too. Makes me think it's a neglected car and in need of a head gasket :heckno: worth to check it out tho. Rare af

Personally wouldn't touch those with a 10 ft pole. Knew someone with exact car, manual too. it had electronics, leaking, gasket issues all over the place, wasn't even high miles.

Agreed

"Illness forces reluctant sale"

Illness of what, the cooling system/engine?

Also, acc to VMR wholesale is 10,300 and retail is 12,700

overpriced AND broken!
