egh, that "euro spec" e30. are all m3's sold outside of north america euro spec? because JEVIC = auction car from japan? someone is going to make a killing at that asking price.

vitaminG 12-29-2016 08:38 PM

I don't think they would be lhd if they were "Japan spec"

thumper 12-29-2016 08:56 PM

E30 m3 was never made in RHD. The car is a Japanese car. I asked about it when it was for sale for 50k on bimmerforums about a year ago.

thumper 12-29-2016 09:37 PM

how about this one...

http://www.japan-partner.com/images/...795ebdb6_t.jpg

this car keeps coming up for sale for many years. needs retrimming of the interior and debadging to regain some credibility. not sure if it is because it changed hands many times over or just remained unsold?

westopher 12-29-2016 10:12 PM

Now that has some serious appeal to me. What's the story?

thumper 12-30-2016 02:59 PM

i don't know enough about the bodywork. what little i can tell is that it has the wider gtr rear fenders, but i don't know if it's fiberglass or steel. as for the front fenders... i don't know if those are just fender caps on top to make it look like a z-tune? but the combination of that with the side vents don't work for me

1992 Civic EG Hatchback VX model, 165,000km, two owners. Has rust.

lowside67 12-30-2016 04:41 PM

I recognize an EG with low mileage is hard to find but a rusty shell at $3500 is a good deal?

It's a pretty rare special edition. Not sure if you conpletly missed that. They are a cool underrated daily commuter. And yes, it's pricey. But as a super MPG project car that could be pretty cool

Low mileage 2009 RX-8. That's a pretty solid price.

It's a solid time bomb that guzzles premium fuel in today's expensive gas prices environment.

I rarely see RX-8 on the street now. I suppose they have mostly disappeared off the face of the earth.

fliptuner 12-30-2016 09:55 PM

The best RX-8 deals are cheap ones, with the motors already blown, ready to swap something better.

If I recall correctly, the VX was a very bare bones trim and at some dealerships, had to be special ordered, no?

I think a high school classmate of mine had one and it didn't even have a clock. I asked why and he said, "My parents said I would be too spoiled, but for some reason, they still bought me the car." :D

ForeverYours 12-30-2016 11:45 PM

The VX is an awesome car. I purchased mine last year and have sold it to a good friend. They are extremely rare, in fact I've only seen 2 ads on Craigslist all year for one.
The CX base model is a good alternative, it's more common to find and it saves a lot of gas too. I wouldn't pay the steep premium for a VX. The only thing I liked about it are the 9lb forged 13" wheels

Doesn't paying more for the car kind of negate the extra fuel economy? Is it really that much more efficient than a regular base model Civic?

320icar 12-31-2016 08:30 AM

True. But I'd rather pay a little more for a unique car that has a story, and one I can enjoy on another level than just the basest of base civics cuz it's cheaper
