How so ... is there a history? As it is, sounds like a good pick up.

I'd say he's leaving at least 2k on the table assuming its moderately rough (which it looks.)

If you look carefully at the pictures of the black e36 m3 some things dont add up. Looking at the build sheet. it should have factory rear spoiler which this doesn't. trunk doesn't have vin sticker. cars equipped with factory spoiler will have 3rd brake light in the spoiler and not in the rear shelf. the rear glass on this car is for a 3rd brake light car but the shelf is empty. The front sports seats are from a coupe. Its got the handle on the side to make the back fold forward. Obviously steering wheel, wooden shift knob, alcantara hand brake is wrong. Also, you can see through the holes in the front bumper which probably means its missing the very expensive brake ducts or under tray under the car. And the tail lights are full of water. And exhaust tips are crooked. I haven't seen the car in real life but just stuff i spotted from the pics. Hope it helps someone interested.

I posted up an blk sedan m3 in good buys a year ago. Or at very least one that was similar... albeit was in rougher shape. Might be same one, might not. But I think the price is fair

edit: "07-24-2015, 09:48 AM

1998 BMW M3

e36 m3 sedan"

didn't save any details. All i can remember was blk 98 m3 sedan. Interior needed some replacments pieces. 250k or so at the time

Good spots. I'd mention though that the brake ducts are very cheap, as well as an e36 with an under tray in tact is about as rare as a factory LTW haha. Either way, lots of stuff with this car is a head scratcher.

I don't think that's a very good deal with a mystery engine replacement and being a DX...

It's not really any more of a mystery than any other used car with it's original engine when you think about it.

96 Miata w/HT $3k obo

Vague add and the plates are suspect but might be worth an inquiry.

1991 Honda Civic DX 4dr sedan, 5spd manual, 206000km, NO RUST, $2000

snowfarmer 01-03-2017 09:18 AM

Kudos to that CL poster!

That is EXACTLY how a Craigslist ad should be done. Detailed and up front description, proper pics of the car (not half-assed attempts at art with a Prisma filter so you can't even discern the condition of the car), weblinks on pertinent things he wants to highlight, videos, realistic price, no disclaimers that scream "asshole-seller" (EG "no dreamers, no test-pilots")

I hope he gets the full price and an easy transaction.

Hope this guy knows Honda bends you over to the tune of $500+ to put a new person as the financier on a car

Run away, as far as possible. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. Not only does the owner seem to be completely oblivious, she uses a stock Fit EX image with a 9th gen Civic interior  As far as we know, "botched oil change" could mean "I drove it until the motor ran out of oil"

Shame on people who don't even attempt to try.
