VX and CX are nice because no door mouldings...

FYI, door mouldings, rear wiper and the passenger mirror were options for the CX and possibly the VX. Too bad cause my CX has all three.

Shame on people who don't even attempt to try.

Ya def a fuck up on the owner, if Honda or any reputable shop fucked up she would have gotten a brand new motor from honda and retained full warranty

Door mouldings that were dealer installed options were stick on though, no holes in the car for the clips vs. SI or DX.

I did go see the car this morning, it's virtually stock with the exception of the brakes, wheels, Koni/GC, and K swap.

The chassis has rust on the dog legs and starting on the rear quarters, some paint work, I don't think hood or front bumper were original, the body had a few too many scrapes and dings for my liking.

The install is fairly bare bones, the right parts were used but no lipstick was applied, owner also has NOS dry shot plumbed in and tuned the car himself, seemed smart enough to know what he was doing with the swap/tuning but clearly wasn't building a show car. Engine looked pretty salty, def not the cleanest low mile K20 I've ever seen.

Ultimately if I was to buy it I would still need cage, seats, steering wheel, brake pads (possibly rotors), fluid, lines, and some wheels/tires $$$$ it all adds up quick.

10.5K is just too much, I realize the swap is expensive but I would sooner wait for someone else who is dumping their more "show built" EG/DC/EK with K swap and then just sell off the ricer bits.. it's a struggle to get 10K for a well built K swap car.. never mind a bare bones semi-beat car.

Seller fired me off a text after I left saying he was motivated and he would take 10K lol.. try like 6K and I would still have to think about it.

Nice E36 M3 on BAT in Redmond, WA. Pretty decent price at the moment despite USD / importing costs.

Sadly that's really what the selling price would end up being for a Kswap civic. I ended up selling both of my Kswap for under 9g.

sounds like some good maintenance has been performed, but dodgy panel gap, non oem bumper, tacky interior, oil leaks and iffy paint matching? That's at least 9k CAD- maybe more landed. can't say that's a good buy at all

BAT's standards have gone down the toilet

keifun 01-03-2017 09:50 PM

Not sure if its a good buy, but a LHD manual tranny IS300 is pretty rare.

does being already manual make doing a [edited]2jz VVTi 3.0L Twin Turbo conversion easier, or is it just half the battle... not sure about the electronics involved.

Not on CL, Autotrader but a real nice unique one.
2008 Saab 9-3X, V6 Turbo (255hp), AWD, manual, 143K, 2 sets of wheels/tires (presumably one set is snow), $7,500. Just look at the sexy lines on that sedan! Not sure but I think that is factory stance ... nice and low!

Just a curious note. How come some posters put SOLD in their titles after they sold the car. Why not just delete the ad?

The Producer 01-04-2017 10:21 AM

passive aggressive FU to the low ballers who told them it would never sell for their asking

also occasionally fake ads chumming the waters for alternate sales or ICBC settlement evidence

Also no way that's factory, my neighbour has one that's nearly identical, it's rides much higher. Looks like it has springs.

Is300 rolled off the factory floor with a 2jz

bcuzracecarz 01-04-2017 12:05 PM

Curious, would you take that Saab, (or any one for that matter), to a GM dealer or another private one for Saabs

It actually got me interested too but oh wells. Its gone now.

bone stock eg, rust in the usual spots (those stupid fender lip gaskets again) but dosen't appear to have completely perforated through (yet), otherwise everything is there and it looks clean considering the mileage....

1993 Honda Civic Si Hatchback
321,139 KMs
Third owner
Clean Title
Red

Bought the car from a growing family (just had their second child) - they owned the car for almost 10 years. Their son called it "Little Red". Felt like a crime to buy it from them - it was their first family car and the farewell was a tearjerker. First owners was another family out in Abbotsford who were looking to upgrade as well.

Originally purchased late September with the intention of building the car up. My friend swapped out his b18c5 with a built turbo b18c, so I was lucky and had access to a stock integra type r engine and transmission (If you're interested, I can give you his number, though not sure if he has sold it already or not). Never did end up doing the swap; took up a second job and I barely have any free time to do anything.

Car is in excellent running condition. Interior is incredibly clean. Exterior has a tiny bit of rust on both sides by the rear wheel wells. Few minor scuffs here and there as can be seen in the photos. The car was garage kept all its life. Only issue I'm aware of is the torn passenger side cv boot.

100% stock and has not been modified. Has oem mudflaps and oem cargo cover. Spare tire, jack, tools, owners manual etc all in the car as well. Cassette player works - no need for pencils to rewind your mixtapes. :lol
as for repair panels for the rust...: http://www.fixmyrust.com/index.php?a...a3lq77ha0p34a6

Ooohhh I like! Where was that car this summer when I was looking for the winter beater? I'd have jumped all over that thing for $7,500!

That would be a pretty high end 'winter beater'!
