go with something you can sell easily after winter ends or else you're going to be stuck with a big lawn oranment... there are lots of these popping up on craigs. this is just an example:

2000 Honda Civic w/snow tires - $3200 https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5955644759.html

Third owner. I've had the vehicle since the summer. Maintenance has been done regularly. Currently equipped with snow tires. I will provide 2 all weathers with the car that have hardly been used.

Car runs very well and is excellent on gas.

or something a little more upscale: 2004 Acura tl - $4450 (Langley) https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5959542231.html

not sure if this an easy fix but it could be a quick flip for $ if it can be sorted out... or break it down for spare parts and make some extra $?

2003 Honda Civic 4dr - Not Running - $1000 (Port Moody) https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/pml/cto/5954992288.html

2003 Honda Civic 4dr 5spd manual transmission that is currently not running. It has 230,000 km on it or so. I'm not sure what is wrong with it. It ran enough to get it home but low power and idle was really rough and now it turns over but does not start. I haven't driven it since the start of the snow.

Rust-free CRX Si, 160k miles, $4500

I am pretty sure that car is just a quick flip from someone here.

There was a relatively fresh US Import CRX being sold for a $1500 roughly a month back, the center console was trashed due to the audio system being ripped out.
You can still see the missing B-pillar cover, probably due to the break-in.

I can't speak to the re-paint, however, the seats could have been purchased used prior to being installed. Hence the need to fix them. I had a set in my MS3 and the bolsters had the foam disintegrate. The person who bought my seats ended up fixing it.

this is the one that was on display at SR auto's richmond location. the paint was sun faded like most jdm imports because covered parking is scarce and summers can be brutal in japan. i think fastrack did the respray, but i'm not 100% sure. there are others here who are more familiar with this car who could comment more. the recaros weren't *that* bad but the seller wanted to do a full restore and didn't want to leave it. if the mileage is in question get the japanese vin and run it through http://www.japanesehistorycheck.com/ or similar.

The odd time I drove my wife's odyssey to work I was impressed. Fuel economy was awesome, it was comfortable and you could blend in with traffic so well. I hated owning a minivan, but the Odyssey was definitely the best choice of what was available.

I could see someone dd'ing and odyssey. Pull out the seats and you have tons of room. Also, less weight so you can break off those pesky vtec kids at the stoplight.

There is a guy looking for a cheap car for his family on another thread, wonder if he bought yet. This might be perfect for him.
