It's to make the owner of the $5500 TSX feel they should lower their price based on a comparable. An ad I'm sure the buyer (ad creator) will show the seller for negotiation. CL scam tactics 101

If someone showed me an ad like that and asked to lower price, I always tell them why don't they just get it from them instead of wasting our time.

Met two guys who were almost trying to strong arm me into lowering the price on my old IS. Going on about high kms (they were average for the year) amongst other things and that a cleaner example with less kms was on the market for thousands less. I said "well go buy that one then" and they looked kind of stunned. Now that I think of it, maybe they were CL lowball scammers looking to flip it...
