However, other than pictures, there's zero information on the actual car.

the equivalent e30 m3 is now stratospheric unobtainable while this contemporary is only 6.5k!? id slap collectors plate on this bitch and upstage e30 M3 boys everyday.

westopher 02-19-2017 09:20 PM

I have a hard time believing that car can possibly be in decent condition, or maybe even a real ad at that price. If its decent, even coming from the most die hard of e30 M3 fanbois I'd agree with you.

320icar 02-19-2017 09:23 PM

Way too many flashy words in that ad. Red flags bruh

Martin Brundle had one you know. He said it was one of the finest rear-drive chassis' he'd ever driven. Just watch out for that dog-leg first gear.

sadly when the ad speaks nothing of the actual car itself, is not a good sign, whether it be bogus or is hiding a multitude of sins :(

There was a dealer that was blowing out 2016 leafs. 10k off stick price plus government incentives which give you a new electric car under 20g!

I saw one posting for a Nissan Leaf, ex lease, where they welcomed BC Scrap It extra incentive of $3000, I think. So if you have a clunker that you've been wanting to get rid of, and you want to try an electric car, now may be the time.

IMASA 02-20-2017 08:56 AM

There was an article on Japlonik a few months back, used Leafs in the US were going for $3-4kUSD.

The consensus was that electric cars are like computers, they don't hold their value as they get older, not when newer models have almost twice the range. I would definitely rock a Nissan Leaf if it was like $5k and still had good battery life..

TouringTeg 02-20-2017 11:22 AM

Wow I had no idea the Leaf market was flooded in the US. A quick search of CL Seattle shows 1200 listings lol Probably only a few hundred cars but it makes sense why they are so cheap.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/searc...0leaf&sort=rel

snowfarmer 02-20-2017 12:09 PM

weed out the dealers listings and there are 40 for sale by owner. Not an insignificant number but not 1200 that's for sure.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/searc...+leaf&sort=rel

Maybe double that number for dealer listings? I don't know, just guessing, don't care enough to manually weed out all the dealer multiple spam-post listings.

Now if the Leaf had a Ludicrous mode, I'd be interested....

I would've picked that up for sure assuming there wasn't some huge issue

LP700-4 02-20-2017 02:42 PM

Seems strange seller would update ad saying sold for asking instead of just deleting the post. No benefit of doing that

Maybe taking a jab at people that low-balled him?

Either way, petty move, just delete ad when sold.

westopher 02-20-2017 03:26 PM

I still don't believe its a real ad. I'd say 75% of CL ads are fake or misrepresented to either skew sales data, get email ads, attempt to scam people, etc.
I'm glad I'm not seriously shopping for a car right now because I'd be losing my shit.

TouringTeg 02-20-2017 03:39 PM

You deal with all kinds of low ballers and flakes when selling a car. I'm not surprised he wanted to give a big F U to all them.

Or could have been a fake ad.
