Get that to insure your M3 as a collectors and agreed value.. and use the silver surfer as a DD. You can tell your wife you got that to save on insurance (for the M3)! Quote:

If the car have insurance lapsed, then there will be no aircare. It has no bearing / relationship on how many owners the car had, can be 1st owner or could be nth owner. Easy to fix, by getting a day pass and get it aircared. Quote:

No idea whether it's a good deal or not, but thought it's an interesting car. 1989 Jaguar XJS V12 Coupe |
^ If anyone is interested in one of these. I have a coworker who was selling one in awesome shape for a mere $3500. No bites. I think he was going to jack up the price because people assumed it was junk. Now I just need to remember who it was that had it... |
That's a bit overpriced.. if you are good with Marelli ignition and have a spare set of fuel injector harness the car is pretty bulletproof.. the wire tend to melt because it was not rated for high heat!! oops. The interior looks good, can definitely get a collector status. Quote:

What do you guys think of this car? bmw m3 1997 I've noticed this week that there has a been a number of post for Euro spec M3's for sale. How can you tell if the car is a true "Euro Spec" model and not a European/Japan model M3 that was imported into Canada? |
The 45 eurospec limited edition 94 M3s all have the canadian edition plaque on the door jambs. From the wording of your question though I'm not sure what you really mean. If an M3 is from europe its still a "eurospec." You can tell by the 6 throttle bodies and different intake manifold, instead of 1 on the US spec m3s. None of the craigslist ones for sale right now are those limited editions, but there are a couple steals of deals on there for euro cars. The silver 97 has been looked at by someone I've talked to and he said it was very nice, just a shade out of his budget and the price is firm. Still well worth the money, however if I were to buy one right now I'd pony up the 15k for the Avus blue 94 euro m3. |

There is a red one that claims to be 321 hp and CG motors has a Black "Euro Spec" that i am interested in as it has the cloth seats. |
Yep. The US motors only had 240. Early eurospecs are 286 and later are claimed at 321, but it sounds like most of them were closer to 300. They were notorious for dynoing low. The euro motor has less low end torque however and also is known to not last as long with regular maintenance as the US spec. I'd much prefer a euro motor, but just trying to give some insight that goes a little deeper than the HP #. Definitely have a look at the euro at CG. They are great guys there. If you have any questions don't hesitate to PM me. I'd be happy to help. I love the e36 m3 and its great to see enthusiasts getting into them, but they can get crazy expensive quickly when it comes to fixing missed maintenance by previous owners. |
