Went to look at this one. I forgot how peppy these 2.0FSI engines were, many smiles were had driving this. Seller was very up to date on maintenance, looks like everything has been done aside from suspension bits. Won't be taking less than 6700 though. Very tempted.
No pano roof, looks like base model. I'm actually one of those that are looking for an Auto as well. Just scared of another horrific euro experience. Been through a e46 that had meltdown after meltdown, and a C-Class with huge maintenance bills.
About as bad as my maserati if you take it to the dealership. (3k a year on average for routine maintenance .. this is just maintenance. If shit goes south it's a couple of thousand every time )
You can do some of the work yourself but it's still an expensive proposition if you use it as a daily. Although the price is quite good ... oh nevermind , it's a rebuilt and ex USA. I'd stay away.
Doug demuro had videos of his used Aston on YouTube. The new owner of Doug's ride , tavarish is working on it himself.

Watching these videos kind of got me excited for about 10 years down the road. With the number of exotics on the roads today, and the number of people that can actually afford the maintenance on a used car, or even want a "old" exotic. These things should take a massive hit in depreciation. Maybe i'll own a supercar one day! That will sit on the street with my parking permit... hah
Very true. Majority of the maserati / Ferrari guys in Vancouver are only interested in the latest and greatest. After 4 years and when the warranty is done they always trade up for whatever the next greatest thing is .
Not too many people keep them like I do. However I do warn you that the stinking oil filter is $80 for my car. Parts alone is going to be double or triple your average car

really wish i sold mine here! mine had pano roof. it just had high k's over 200.
i had it listed for about 6 months before i gave in and taking low balls.
Seems like a reasonable pickup if you're in the market for one of these (assuming that there is no major accident, BC car, things check out mechanically, etc.).

I have the same thoughts, and then I remember the old Top Gear episode about old supercars for 10 grand. The hard part would be figuring out where the graph showing when I could afford to buy an exotic and the graph of how old of an exotic I could afford to maintain will intersect.
Maybe if I get lucky I'll be able to get an old Vantage before they're all too old to be driven, but I'm not holding my breath.
