The van on its own is probably worth $2500-$3000 (clean, decent colour). With the wheels/kit/suspension, it's a decent deal, IMO. I'd take it over a 2nd/3rd gen for sure. |

Unfortunately it looks like there will be a bidding war. It was 10 or 11k when posted last week I see Alberta plates in one picture. Love a near stock LHD FD but quite a few issues with this FD scattered through out of this wordy ad. "Babied maintenance wise" and then makes excuses for not repairing some items. I get that this car is now 24 years old but not repairing a bunch of things makes me question what else it needs. No mention of tires or brakes.
Also funny to see the Victoria Mazda RX7 10th Anniversary being flipped for 10k: https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/6050182565.html |
Yeah, money is money but it's annoying, nonetheless. |
That fd has been posted about 3 times now. |
Seeing that LHD FD made me realize how hard it is to find a reasonable mileage, near stock, LHD 90s/00s popular import in BC now. It seems they have been written off, exported to USA or are hidden away in garages or collections with owners who really enjoy them and don't plan to ever sell. The cars I grew up with are few and far between in Canada. They never sold in high numbers here either. I guess that is why the red 91 NSX is $70k and not $35k anymore. Here are some that I watch for: Acura NSX Acura Integra Type R Mazda RX7 FD Nissan 300ZX TT Toyota Supra TT Toyota MR2 turbo Shortage already starting: WRX/STi S2000 |

I've never had any significant problems with my MR2 Turbo in 14 years of ownership besides the stock turbo blowing around 220,000kms |
